Samsung Omnia Launched in Pakistan
Samsung OMNIA (i900) that is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and comes with Microsoft Office has been launched in Pakistan through Mobile Zone. Omnia Means “Everything” in Latin, and I feel that Samsung has tried to compile this handset to do everything…! We are not sure about the pricing yet, as the gadget is going to hit stores in a week’s time, but speculations suggest its price would be around Rs. 50,000.
A look at Samsung Omnia’s videos revealed that the device is a 100% touch screen, but still Samsung included an optical mouse for ease of navigation – the optical mouse is similar to what you’d find on laptops.
Samsung Omnia brings together high performance business content, high-end design mixed with a full bag of dynamic multimedia rich experience.
5 MegaPixel Camera, WLAN, 3G, Music Player, Media Player and much more is there that this Samsung made mobile phone offers.

hi every one ,i just got omina and i must say there is no comparison between iphone and omina ,omina is far better than iphone in every department for instane camara,touch screen , hi speed internet 624MHZ processor ( ipohne 3g =410 mhz )and it also has some other feature which iphone doesn’t have for that u can you tube.overall it worth its price …and u will find it out soon which one is better by ur self if u have omina .cheerz .

apple 3g is far more expensive. 8 gb costs 4400dhs while omnia 16gb is 3499 dhs. What is the price of 8gb omnia in Rs., anyone?

@Zahid Hussain, Man that’t too exp, I can get you one for around £50000 (8GB) brand new but wont have mobile zobe warranty, i imagine that you get 12 months manufacturer warranty with any make. But believe me its much better than Nokia where you have battery life for less than a day :)

@Abbas, yah we have microsoft outlook and microsoft office ,remote desktop connections , we can build and connect sql server based applications and connect to them from our phone. we have google maps for gps access. its not a phone. its a micro computer.
@Zahid Hussain, Yeah, that’s right. I have got a scanning application installed on mine where using SQL DB which works more than perfect. Unlike iPhone it has copy/paste, msg forwarding and video editing software.
I have got two two Omnia, only one month used but in perfect condition, any idea how much I should sell it for if I go to a shop ?
@Abbas, shope keeper will not pay you much. try to sell to some friend or any other reference. Pak Rupees 50K is what you can get at most.

i think this cell brand is very well as its features shows. but its price is much higher that a normal living person cannot afford it
Hi everyone, Omnia’s price are not yet decided but can be speculated around 50,000 rupees. N it is not only a phone but a palmtop as well. iPhone doesn’t provide options Omnia has. Let other samsung competators launch the one like Omnia than prices will go down automatically:)

@kami, Have got the omnia as well. Touch interface not as good as apple iphone. Screen resolution is also not that good. Camera is fine-results are good after transferring the pics to the computer. They forgot to make space for the stylus. It looks ridiculous hanging it with a piece of string! As far as the keyboard is concerned, typing is bit cumbersome compared to the iphone. One can use the inbuilt mouse, but that slows you down.
Battery life is not bad. Display visibility poor in daylight.
