ProPakistani.com’s January 2009 poll results have termed Ufone as offering most in-expensive voice call and SMS rates in Pakistan. Not surprisingly Zong gave tough time to Ufone, and stood second. We saw very little difference between Ufone and Zong votes in earlier weeks; however, fourth week decided poll results. Telenor stood third while Warid and Mobilink became fourth and fifth respectively.

There were total of 2,132 readers who opined during the month of January 2009. Poll allowed single vote from one IP address coupled with cookies check.

Ufone took 32 percent of total votes. Ufone’s Uwon, Ghanta Package and night packages made the difference. In terms of text messaging ufone’s Rs. 150 SMS bundle gives you 5,000 SMS messages a month.
On other hands, Zong scored 29 percent votes, has very competitive packages for different segments of market, which includes 12 Anay Package, 8 Anay Package, Free Package and Aik Second Package for voice calls. For SMS lovers, Zong has best deal available that is 20,000 SMS for Rs. 149 a month.

With huge difference Telenor stood third, and scored 16 percent votes, that’s 13 percent less than Zong. Warid got 14 percent votes while Mobilink stood last with only 9 percent votes in its box.

ufone is waiting for what they should give the new tariff and MMS packages
I agree. There must be a pool for gprs/edge service with following subpools, best gprs coverage, best gprs rates/package, best speed. these r important as the company giving lowest rates has poor gprs coverage but nice speeed(only in big cities)
need sum long lasting call package….ufone gud call offers jux valid 4 1 month….thtz not gud yarrr
I wish Ufone to be the best cell company of Pakistan, but i was disappointed when ufone do also use the same tricks as the other companies do. Perhaps no one like the hidden charges and i suggest to make the services more popular, please donot go for hidden charges for any pachage..just tell clearly. Pakistani people love to use ufone- Pro-Pakistan. i think my suggestion will be taken in a positive way..
