2nd Global TeleCON 2009 on April 25 in Lahore

telecon_2008The 2nd Global Telecommunication Congress 2009 (TeleCON 2009) with a special emphasis on “Emerging Technology – Challenges & Opportunities” is being organized on April 25, 2009 in Lahore by SHAMROCK Conferences International, and the expected support & patronage of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

TeleCON 2009, second in series after the successful inaugural conference held in April 2008, has been designed to bring Industry Specialists and Speakers from the Government and private sectors to discuss Challenges & Opportunities of the fast growing sector; alternative strategies for a regulatory framework, business-friendly environment and consumer satisfaction. An improvement in Foreign Direct Investments during this period of economic challenges is also intended to be critically examined.

Prof. Dr. Amoon Kamal, Head of SHAMROCK Conferences, said, “With a high level of telecom development we are headed towards several industry issues and opportunities and with increasing levels of demand for technologies, operational initiatives such as Rural Area Connectivity, Broadband and Wireless Access, Connectivity & Mobility, Safety & Security and enhancement of regional capabilities are being considered.”

Leading names from prominent international and Pakistani telecom companies, the GSMA and technology gurus are expected to share their wisdom and create fresh perspectives for adopting best-practices in the global and Pakistani telecom arena.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended endorsement to the 2nd Global Telecommunication Congress 2009 (TeleCON 2009). The Conference is shaping up well with a special emphasis on “Emerging Technology – Challenges & Opportunities” and is being organized on April 25, 2009 in Lahore by SHAMROCK Conferences International.

Dr. Muhammad Yaseen Malik, Chairman PTA, consenting to deliver the Key Note Address at the TeleCON 2009 has appreciated this reinforced effort.

In a meeting with Mr. Menin Rodrigues, Chairman, TeleCON’2009 in Islamabad, Dr. Yaseen said, “PTA appreciates the work being carried out by the private sector in the telecommunication field considering the fact that technology is evolving by the day and Pakistan will have keep abreast with what’s happening on the global frontiers. I look forward to the technical sessions giving more time to the participants to interact with the speakers.”
