Islamabad, Pakistan and Waterloo, ON – EMS, Telenor and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) announced the launch of the BlackBerry® solution in Pakistan. The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, messaging, phone, organiser, web and multimedia applications, as well as thousands of other business and lifestyle applications. Telenor customers in Pakistan will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry® smartphones to stay connected to people and information on the go.

At launch, Telenor Pakistan will offer the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8320, BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8120, and BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphones. In addition to an impressive range of email, messaging, phone, organiser, web and multimedia applications, all three smartphones come with RIM’s intuitive trackball navigation system, an easy-to-use keyboard, a high resolution colour display, digital camera, expandable memory storage, built-in Wi-Fi® and global roaming support.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone offers business impressive functionality and performance in an intuitive and stylish design. The BlackBerry Bold comes with tri-band support for HSDPA high-speed networks around the world and includes integrated GPS.

The BlackBerry Curve 8320 smartphone comes in a stylish and compact design with a large display and full-QWERTY keyboard.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is a full-featured smartphone in an ultra-small, light and elegant design.

The smartphones also feature Bluetooth®, with support for headsets, stereo headsets, car kits and other Bluetooth peripherals, and USB for file transfers and connectivity to a PC. Desktop software gives customers the ability to create MP3 music files from CDs, create play lists and automatically convert pictures, music and videos from a PC for playback on the smartphones.

At launch Telenor will offer the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software for corporate customers and BlackBerry® Internet Service for smaller businesses and individual users.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server is designed for organisations that manage their own email servers. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server software tightly integrates with IBM® Lotus® Domino®, Microsoft® Exchange and Novell® GroupWise® and uses advanced encryption and IT policy controls to enable secure, push-based wireless access to email and other corporate data.

    I have BlackBerry curve 8310, 4Months Warranty from Mobilink, scratch less condition, full accessories, leather pouch, 3 types of chargers, 2 type still packed, handfree still packed unused, 1GB memmory card, Box, Data cable, CD, menu book, All accessories that come with new phone. New Curve costs 29500Rs, I am selling for 22000 Rs. Mobile is hardly used and in acratch less condition. Reply if interested.

  • hi i own a bb 9630 and am using telenor .would like to know why telenor pakistan is not supporting my fone and hence bb services vcannot be activated on it ur prompt reply will be appreciated

    • 9630 is a North American Model, Not available for this region hence hasn’t been tested over Telenor’s Network. That’s why the operators won’t support the particular model.
