Well,I got student package in June 2012 and in August 2012, I am gonna get rid of ptcl broadband student package due to misc charges like corruption which the crooked authorities of ptcl corrupt department have imposed on naive customers to plunder them.
I have decided to let innocent people know the ptcl public robbing policies on every forum.I wish all the victims to the same to humble down the immodest authorities by boycotting ptcl internet.plz,save others from the cheat organization of ptcl, believe me, it will be the best virtue on your part.

PTCL is the worst company I’ve ever had experience with.

Unstable DSL connection. Complaints are not resolved for weeks.

Got PTCL evo device (4000 + 2000 for first month), its not giving more than 300kbps in Lahore Gulberg although according to them its 3.1Mbps… so getting 10times less than what i expect.

I’m totally fed up of PTCL and doing complaints over and over and all in vein…

TO HELL with PTCL. I don’t recommend PTCL to anyone.. Use someone else but PTCL..

Well its not true about western countries, i have lived in montreal Canada and i had rogers internet i paid 48 dollars and the internet was crap and it was 4mbps, for 10mbps in canada or US you have to pay 60 dollars that is 5400 rupess but yeah they do not deduct any other amount from you everything comes bundled with phone-internet (modem is something you can either pay to own or just let is be a rental say 3 dollars extra)

But what the hell is here, you pay internet, you pay for modem-wireless device, you pay line rent you pay this and that lol stupid.

I am currently using PTCL, the speeds sucks, When Nayatel comes to my area, I am definitly going to switch to to Naytel.

I got PTCL couple of weeks ago, as they upgraded the Phone lines to Fiber for superior performance (HAHAHA) and I lost my connection from Micronet (Best ISP ever), sadly when I phoned them for DSL activation, it took them 25 days to provide me a connection. meanwhile Micronet was good enough to give me unlimited connection as a farewell gift.

For DSL connection, two old guys, with limited knowledge of DSL, came with a open box, slightly used modem, and installed it and told me that it will give you better speed them micronet. I found out that it hardly goes above 768 KB (As i have 1 MB connection) but it router automatically reboots, and the SNR which used to be on copper, 28 but know with fiber, its 11 (even with fiber, they cant make it better). When called 1218, they told me that for performance reason, the router reboots itself.

However, I called 1218 and logged a complaint and also asked how to change password, they told me that they will change and inform you about it.

My question is to them, if someone using my username/password dials my connection, and does some illegal activity, then I will be blamed.
with that question, the rep has no answer for it.

I used PTCL and I pray to GOD that someone with a intelligent mind should come to PTCL and teach them the fundamentals of IT, Networks etc..

I think, PTCL should be sold to Micronet/Naytel and I know that they will make this country proud with their service.

i guess that will be capped soon those 1 and 2 mb packages bcoz lot of customer will turn to them and keep using them and those capped packaged will not be used much unless they put cap on everyone. i guess they are still checking the response by the public and it will gona get few month maybe.its good for company bad for customers but it’s a trend and we dont follow world trend in good’s but ready to go on adopting anything which is not good we were good in not having it but not ready to have more bills and might be less customers. our country’s insitutions are turning into total mess from railways to pia from economy to politics and even Hajj related affaors … God save our dear homeland from such ruthless corrupt decision makers in all such departments…. Pakistan zindabad,
