    • What’s your birthdate?

Isn’t it strange that almost everyone who mentions Muharram as the new year (as opposed to Jan 1) does not know their birthdate in Hijra calendar?

I know the date in Hijra calendar that my son was born because I noted it down, but I always forget my birthdate.

      • Hum to Muslim hain, ap na ho gay. Hijri calendar mujhay ziyada azeez hay.

Aik kisi ke achi baat follow na kerna dosra ulta uski mukhalfit kerna, aisay zehan ka Allah ke hafiz hay :)

        • — Hijri calendar mujhay ziyada azeez hay.

Good to hear! So, do you know what’s your birthday in Hijri calendar? When you make an appointment with a doctor, do you ask for Hijri date? When you have exams, is the exam date on a Hijri calendar? Do you have a Hijri calendar on your phone and is it accurate? When you plan to go to an event “three weeks from today”, do you know what the Hijri date will be three weeks from today? Do you work on December 25 because you don’t celebrate secular holidays? When you say “tomorrow” do you mean some time after the sunset today, or after sunrise?

Simply saying Hijri is better means nothing in practice if you don’t run your life according to it.

        • Lastly, I should ask: do you calculate dates by actual moon sightings, or something like Umm ul Qura calendar? For civil (but not religious) purposes, Saudi Arabia doesn’t rely on a visual sighting of the new moon to fix the start of a new month. Instead they base their calendar on a calculated astronomical moon.

    • meary bhai Ap hr cheez Non-Muslims ki use krtay ho… jis computer se ap ye use kr rhy ho ya jis internet ko use kr rhy ho ye b kisi Muslim ne nahi banaya to ap en ko kion use krtay ho… Years k liay Islam mein koi calender nahi hai.. Sirf Months hain jin k mutabic hum Mazhabi faraiz adda krtay hain…

Duniyavi zindgi k liay ap koi b calender use kr lain es se faraq nahi parrta…

      • yeh baat apke galat hay Islam main koi calendar nahi, Hijri konsa Faisalabadion ki ejaad hay.

Computer to zarorat hay. Ap Linux ker lo istemal, main kerta hon. Linux, Windows, Mobiles main bhi hijri ka calendar majood hay.

Duniyavi zindagi kay liyay calendar koi buri baat nahi. Sab ko Eesvi Saal Mubarak ho. Koi buri baat nahi. laiken yeh jesay opar do MODERN hazraat keh rahay hain Hijri calender unka sir durd hay yeh to ajeeb baat hay na.

  • Zong that new Eesvi year advertisement image is so great. Kitni dil ko lagnay wali batain likhi hain :D
