Official website of board of intermediate & secondary education Peshawar is strangely promoting certain educational institutes through banner ads, displayed on its pages where students check their result.
It is anticipated that these banner ads are shown to hundreds of thousands of students who visit this official page to check their secondary and intermediate results. Estimate suggests that someone is making thousands of dollars per day (especially during results).
We aren’t sure who is behind this, but chances are that board authorities are aware of this as banner ads are noticeable enough that webmaster can’t take such a risk of stealing official website of an education board.
We are awaiting a response from board on this.
P.S. We hope that readers know the role of education boards and understand that why these few educational institutes should not be promoted through official means.

The person who has taken this issue is just a foolish man wasting the time of people. Ads on net is a famous thing and on all websites it exist. This website “propakistani.pk” is also full of ads. This issue has been reaised just to earn money by propakistani. Ads on all websites of other boards are available during results. But no one has raised issue for those boards. Don’t waste time by browsing such issues. This will just waste your time and cause eraning money to propakistani. I advise propakistani webmaster to stops such useless issues.

Peshawar board is not a commercial entity to have Ads on its website. So to whom pocket revenue from these ADs going? Peshawar Board OR some Falana Afridi?

This is what marketing is all about. You had an opportunity to advertise and they took advantage of it. But Frankly speaking the Advertisements didnt have any attraction for the students, The reason is that those who have advertised themselves are rarely known, and why would one like to go these education dept when you have Institutes like Pesh University,IMS, Fast and a few more.
Hey what do u think Peshawar university and ims and fast offers ACCA CA or HDA u dont even know these thing i’m surprised to see that u r not aware of these in these days

It is indeed sad and quite worrisome phenomenon that education has been brought down to this level by the caretakers of education themselves.
I call this “Education Inflation” when the profit per bit-of-knowledge is maximized while keeping the morality to the minimum.
Then what problem if they are displaying these ads? Its their authority to run ads or not i dont know why propakistani has this issue raised
A government education website should not be advertising in the first place. Secondly, it should not be promoting other private institutions, that’s why this issue is being raised!
It’s like Nokia advertising HTC on their website!
i think the webmaster is make coins out of it, and the concern officers aren’t aware to that fact
these colleges are marketing ACCA. People with this qualification are already not getting jobs but its never a bad business to add more jobless fools to society.

I also agree these are paid ads, but board is neutral institute provide services to conduct exam and it is not suitable for a board to advertize some institutes on its website and it should remain a board of examination not marketing website.

I sincerely wished that you would know a difference between a commercial (like ProPakistani) and government / official website of an education board. Both are not same, serving ads on Peshawar board website is out of question.

Such Ads are the part of a earning struggle.
They might getting some pennies from it to give a -ve impression to viewers.

Firstly, the students will obviously thinking that these colleges are run or supported by BISE Peshawar and they will prefer them.
Secondly, The Board should facilitate students using the website. They should display the whole Detail Marks Certificate (DMC) on their site like fbise and other boards instead of selling through payment system outlets for Rs.60. (Check their main page for the the confirmation).
The post is absolutely stupid enough to be commented. You can simply call these websites and put up a banner ad as many as you want, given you are paying . I dont know why is it a big deal
If that’s true then please get me an ad on Ministry of IT website.
Their website should be hosted on a .edu.pk domain, to make it clear that its 1) an educational institution and 2) that it belongs to an authority (government/ academic).
I believe .edu.pk domains are restricted for recognized educational institutions, and this fact should be put to good use.
The footer has a link to a dev shop, something I haven’t seen in any governmental/ official website ever.
