i have been paying for 2mb student package for last 8 months…but i still getting 1mb connection’s download & upload speed… i have called 1000 times to PTCL they never fixed the problem, they always say issue have been fixed but im still getting 1mb speed for the price of 2mb…PTCL is a Fraud Scam company for sure

If you dont like speed, please switch to 256kbps. As a student, i am sure your reference material is wikipedia. Hence your thoughtless opinion. I do my learning using sources other than wikipedia and i definitely appreciate faster upload and download speed. I have estimated that in order to write one page of an assignment, i spend around 30 minutes sifting through search results and almost 7 minutes on each search result that i choose to click. I dont make an assignment. I learn my assignment.
Seems like you are just copy/paste spoon-fed-learner especially when wikipedia is around. So slow speeds are sufficient for you, not me.

anyone out there has used 2mb connection student package with download speed 200-240kbps?? or its all just a PTCL crappy marketing gimmick ??

fot last 4 months im getting same 1mb (109kbps) speed for billing price of 2mb student package…

same problem is with me i dont know what should i do i am paying 1560 from 2 months my package is 1 mb studnt 15 times i call them that upgrade my package to 2 mb but nothing

Are you sure? it is 11260, its mean you are getting, downloading 10.99Mbps
and Uploading 1Mbps.

First of all, I don’t even call it a student package which is for the STUDENTS in true sense. Student package should aid students for studying, completing assignments, making presentations, gathering data and doing research for their projects, watching informative videos on youtube and so on, with a little bit of socializing, gaming and entertainment as well. Hence, ideally the student package should be something like 256 – 512 kbps with 30 – 50 GB at 400-500 Rs PM or less. A student does NOT require more speed and volume for these aforementioned activities, for which the student package must be used. This is not a student package. What student do is downloading movies, using facebook, watching youtube videos for fun, gaming and all kinds of time-wasting stuff that everyone is well aware of. And many of the subscribers subscribing for these Student packages are not even students! I think PTCL should cut down the package as well as the prices to make it a genuine student package that every student, even from middle-class, can easily afford. Other ISPs can also do this and launch their respective Student Packages. While the competition should be for other packages among the ISPs. This can only happen if these companies are customer-oriented rather than customers’ pocket-oriented and doing their best to loot every bit of money in their customers’ pockets. And also the consumers are sensible, conscientious and socially responsible.

PTCL is really fraud …chor hai salay ..agent betha dea commesion k lea jo bas har cheez free keh kar activate kar wa rahay hai …bad mai har cheez bill mai lag kar ajatii hai …chor salayy…
