Kwick High Tech and Solutions is the only manufacturer of GSM SIM cards in Pakistan, offering local cellular operators the ability to get locally manufactured SIM cards with global standards and at better costs, told Mr. Waseem Rafi, CEO Kwick, to ProPakistani in an exclusive interview yesterday.
Kwick High Tech has complete capabilities to meet current requirements of GSM industry including 2G and 3G Java and Native Technologies and their SIM applications.
According to Mr. Waseem Rafi, Kwick is already selling its locally manufactured SIMs to two local operators, while its perusing other cellular operators who are currently importing SIM cards from international vendors, mainly from China.
Kwick said that its locally manufactured SIMs come with global standards and 25 percent lower cost, making it a viable option for Pakistani operators with an ability to save foreign exchange, import duties and freight.
Kwick, in addition to SIM manufacturing, offers complete warehousing, distribution and logistic solutions as value added service to cellular operators that too at no extra cost.
Pakistan, often dubbed as a SIM nation, is currently undergoing sluggish growth due to saturation and stagnation. Kwick said that it is currently manufacturing 3 million SIM cards per month to meet local orders, however company expects this figure to go way higher with emergence of 3G, which will require customers to get new SIM cards (with same old numbers) compatible with 3G networks.
Kwick is also considering to sell SIM cards to international players, however, it want to cap local market first which is reluctant to buy local SIMs due to their long-running (but expensive) contracts with international players.
Other than GSM SIM Cards, Kwick masters in Smart Cards, E-Passport Solutions, Recharge Vouchers, ID Card Printing and Biometric Security solutions.
that’s a good news initially i thought that these sims are imported from different countries
My iPhone (Unlocked) doesn’t accept Telenor SIM.. It’s fine with other cellular networks…Can I have any specific SIM? Any solution?
go to telenor franchise and get a duplicate sim hope it will work
I visited all franchises and only one SIM worked…and that too was his (CSR) own… I ported in to Mobilink then but I still wish if Telenor can help me retaining the network on special basis. :)
Check with Telenor’s service center for any possible solution.
Check out second comment…..
Telenor sims works absolutely perfect with all iphone models. I am enjoying it :)
I don’t understand how they can be cheaper and the same quality if created locally. Has no one ever heard of “economy of scale”??? Companies that can make 1 million SIMS a month will probably pay more for raw materials than companies that can make 1 million SIMS a week.
