ASUS, one of the most renowned Android Tablet manufacturer, has outed yet another cheap tablet for Android fans. The Tablet is called the Memo Pad ME172V and it will be available for as low as $149.
The Memo Pad ME172V is basically a cheaper version of the Nexus 7 with its specs trimmed down along with the price. Here are the specifications:

- 7 inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels
- Weight: 370g
- Thickness: 11.2mm
- 1 Ghz single-core (sigh) ARM Cortex A9 processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 or 16 GB Expandable memory
- 1 mp, 720p front-facing camera
- Wifi, microUSB 2.0, microSD card slot
- 16Wh battery
- Available in Sugar White, Titanium Gray, Cherry Pink colors
Just like the Nexus 7, the Memo Pad too skips on the rear-facing camera. But our biggest disappointment from this tablet is the CPU. Single core ARM Cortex A9 processor in Asus Memo is something we have seen after a long time (including those cheaper products too). Yes, such processor at even this low price can be termed depressive.
The tablet will be available for online buying at Google Play, (which unfortunately isn’t available in Pakistan) clearly revealing the importance of this product. It is scheduled to start shipping in April.
Although this isn’t the worst tablet we’ve seen, you can definitely go a lot better even in this price range.
