10Pearls, a application development company focused on mobile, software and game development, has spun-off a separate entity focused solely on developing and publishing casual mobile games.
The new entity, Game Plan8, will focus on creating 2D and 3D games for the iOS, Google Android, Kindle, Facebook and other platforms.
“We frequently experiment with fun technologies within our 10Pearls Innovation Labs, and gaming is one of those areas where we have invested,” said Imran Aftab, CEO of 10Pearls. “Our investment in gaming has been quite valuable both as a mechanism to launch Game Plan8, and also as a means to develop mastery over gaming mechanics and principles that are now extremely important as enterprises attempt to introduce gamification to their internal processes and products.”
10Pearls has engaged with a number of enterprises within the Education, Finance and Technology industry verticals to help them build game-centric products and make their existing processes more engaging and
interesting.
Game Plan8 has been brought up as a lean start-up, and it already has published over 15 titles for iOS, Android, Windows Mobile and Facebook.
Game Plan8 produces games using the Unity, Corona and Cocos and other gaming frameworks. Game Plan8 has also produced socially networked games allowing gamers to play against each other from anywhere in the world.
