Huawei Adds Ascend Y530 to its Budget Smartphone Lineup in Pakistan

Huawei has added another smartphone Ascend Y530 to its budget Y-smartphone series in Pakistan.

Ascend Y530 (Single SIM) is priced at Rs. 15,000 and is currently available in black color with one year warranty of Airlink Communication across Pakistan.

Ascend Y530 takes some of its design inspiration from its predecessors namely the Y300 & G510, introduced last year. The body is entirely made of plastic but it doesn’t feel cheap, rather it is very durable and gives a premium look.

The phone features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 480×854 pixels (218ppi). It packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal memory. There is also a microSD card slot which takes a card up to 32GB.

The phone has a primary 5-megapixel camera with single LED flash and a secondary 0.3-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.

Just like all budget devices from Huawei, Y530 is packed with a removable 1750mAh battery, which is good enough for a single day use for most of the users.

hw_330819Ascend Y530 packs almost the same hardware as its predecessors introduced last year but this device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Huawei EMUI 2.0 on top of it. So you may expect some improvement in the performance.

I am afraid that like previous budget devices from Huawei this phone will never get Android 4.4 KitKat officially but there are many hacks and custom ROMs available for the purpose.

Huawei Ascend Y530 boosts some decent hardware and the build quality is also good, but we think that it is a little overpriced. Add up Rs. 5,000 and you can get Ascend G610, which has double the specs and has Dual-SIM capability.

Do share your opinion about this smartphone and do you think its price tag is justified?

  • Yes the price is insanely high, one can get a snapdragon 600 by adding 4-5k used but 5 times better then this.

    • Bhai knsy school mein parhty rahy ho aap? School gye bhi thy ya nahin. 20k ka second hand phone aur 15k ka new phone. knsa comparison kr rahy ho.

      • Your word describe your level of matureness, ap jese logo ko dekh ke he ye companies ye price offer karte hain

        • bilkul sahi kaha. this phone shiny new packing attracts to first time buyers whereas those who research or know some basics would opt for better option.

        • Asal bat yeh hai kay Qmobile nay hum sub logo ka dimagh karab kardia hai yeh phone same specs kay sath pehlay 25-40 main miltay tay tu us waqt hum log aram say buy karty tay.

Laiken ab hum log ki adat yeh ho gaye hai kay 10K main hum Quad-core, 20megapixel camera laga ho.

Dear you cant compare huawei to qmobile but you can compare it with Samsung – no doubt huawei is a great product and i am using this product last 2 months.

          • Jo brands ko compare karte hain un ka dimagh sahe jaga pe nhi hota, maswara man lo. Last year i also own a Huawei set what does that make.

      • he is comparing:
        -phone processor and specs
        -phone look feel and operation
        -phone value for resale

not against huwaei but they leave some things out. on other hand its becoming popular brand fast. i personally enjoy huwaei phone before upgrade to samsung. drop it many many times. many scratch. rough use. still perfect Alhamdulillah. so dont be offense. everyone have their opinion, must listen it and take their point as well

      • bhai ap agree karein, but look sooner or later ppl will buy this new as a symbol of pak cheen dosti. rest, im sure with value of chinese phones it will be 11k in few months. my estimate choti eid tak itna hojay ga.

  • I will never buy an “android” phone with 512mb ram. (btw my current phone has RAM of 256mb :( :p)

Huawei is now making phones with good designs.

    • yes huwaei leaving sm items from their budget phone. 512 is really less. it will lag soon on simple task. ppl should research the requirement online lot of info plz reseach before buy.

  • bhaiyo, mujhe ek aisa cell phone chaiye jis ki battery poora hafta na charge karna pare. kon sa lu main ?

    • low end nokia run 2 days on average, qmobile or voice claim of one month battery but not sure abt model.
if looking for smartphone go for motorola razr maxx hd will last longer than most other same class phones.
