The second phase of commercial roll out will be initiated later this year to offer 3G services in other parts of the country as well.

“We are excited to introduce 3G services to our customers, expanding access to data-rich products and coverage solutions to meet their needs,” said Irfan Wahab Khan, Chief Marketing Officer, Telenor Pakistan.

“The launch of next generation services in the country marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Pakistan.

As the country is getting ready for the data centric era, we reiterate our commitment to help the nation forge ahead by providing internet for all.

Not only does this technology ensure expansion in Telenor Pakistan’s robust and high-performing data services, but it also complements our existing state-of-the-art network that currently offers one of the widest, most reliable coverage across the country.

We also aim to play a pivotal role in government’s efforts to promote e-inclusivity for all to foster socio-economic transformation of Pakistan, and with the 3G platform, we can further extend our support for making ICT more accessible across the country.”

The current free trial of 3G services to Telenor Pakistan’s customers will continue until May 31, 2014, and the users will be charged for the 3G service from June 1, 2014 onwards. The subscribers will be notified about the end of free 3G trial service via SMS, Telenor Pakistan’s official website, company’s Facebook page and outdoor advertising campaigns.

  • Hmm thanks amir bhai for sharing this but we already know this.. so if you have any leaked packages then i would appreciate it :)

  • i must say telenor have disappointed me with their 3g launch. they seemed to be all ready on a country level. but they have only started in 4 cities which is not good as compared to mobilink. ufone is leading in number of cities but for me even when i am in 3g coverage area, i cant connect to 3g network. the helpline people bluntly say that you are not in the coverage area even though their sms say i am.

    • Brother, if they launch 3G in more cities, and cover less area of that cities is equal to the earning if they launch 3G service in more area of that cities. You will notice that Telenor covered more area than Ufone.

  • As always best packages from Telenor…
And packages are also on their website now.. Thanks Aamir bhai for sharing..

    • It’ll be unlimited, don’t expect that they’ll use sluggish ufone speed capped packages.

Since they have 5 MHz, speed will be up to 4-5 Mbps.

    • ufone already launch and other compnies pakges are comming soon…

  • And their network has been overloaded. Messages are taking five to ten minutes to arrive
