  • This is good time to own Nexus 5, but Nexus 7 and 10 will get Lollipop before it reaches Nexus 4 or 5.

  • the best android device to buy is nexus by google. at least one is sure the device will update to most of the android versions in the future . samsung sony htc all just crap.

  • ios software eco system is far better than android, just google it, apple supports software updates to 3 year old devices whereas android supports only 1 and a half year further apple spread updates instantly for example ios 8.00 update has been reached to 48% active apple devices in just 28 days of its release as compare to kitkat which has been rolled out to 25% active android devices in around a year such a slow roll out process

    • Nexus 7 July 2012 ko release hoa tha aur 2 and half years k bad bi wo Android Lollipop me update ho rha hy.
Dosra iPhone/iPad ko Nexus se compare kro phir tumhy pata chale ga k kitni percent hy Kitkat ki agr iOS bi har company k pas hota aur har specs ki devices me hota to us ki bi percent kam hoti.

    • Cz apple does not have to offer much in any of its update as compared to android which offers lot and lot of updates and major overhauling in every new update they release on the market. Plus ios is used only in devices built by apple to say only a couple of products every year. On the other hand android has a really big market and dozens of manufacturers all around the globe from Top most sellers like Samsung, LG, HTC, Nexus, Motorola to mid range like Huawei, oppo to low grade like Q mobile, voice etc. They are releasing hundreds of models every year in all shapes and sizes with combination of different hardware in every model.

      • size and shap doesn’t matter, windows operating system & linux are also run on variety of hardware platforms like embedded systems, hp , dell & toshiba computers but they all get updates together when it is available. Android has to develop better eco system.

    • it has nothing to with android. It is to do with OEMs/carriers. They have to buy updates for android. So they don’t buy it for the older devices.

    • it was estimated that if samsung gives an update to all its devices it would cost the company $3.6 billion

        • Exactly! That’s business. Its not worthwhile for companies to spend extra money on old devices. Especially when there specs don’t support a seamless experience of the new devices. Just like on 4s the phone becomes almost ususable after the ios8 it becomes so slow. So its advised not to go for the update. Also if you offer updates to older devices it gives them less of a reason to buy a new one. So its more of a business strategy.
