Ufone Volunteer’s Group Visits Binte Fatima Old Home

Ufone’s scope of CSR activities encompasses different fields of life, making them unique besides cementing the image of the operator as a socially responsible company. Confirming to the latter, Ufone recently organized a visit of the Ufone Volunteer’s Group (UVG) to the Karachi premises of Binte Fatima Old Homes – a nongovernmental & nonprofit organization providing shelter to senior citizens (Women with accompanied children and Girls) of society.

Members of the group spent time with the residents of Binte Fatima Old Home and distributed gift hampers among them containing food items (biscuits, dry fruits, dates, cupcakes, fruits) and warm shawl for protection against upcoming cold weather.

Expressing his views about the noble initiative, Mr. Amir Pasha, Head of PR and CSR at Ufone said that, “Our volunteer’s group spent some quality time with the residents and brought smiles to their faces. It was a heartwarming experience for everyone involved.”

Miss Farzana Shoaib, founder of Binte Fatima Old Home Trust said, “The Old Age Home has been established for the welfare of female senior citizens who are either abandoned or not treated properly by their kith and kens, We thank Ufone for this positive contribution, by which they have not only spread smiles, but brought a realization to the residents that there are people out there who care for them.”

  • Great initiative Ufone and I feel sorry for those people who left their source of “Jannah” in those old age homes. How can a society claim to be civilized who leave their mothers in such old age houses and expect their children not to do the same to them.

  • Good work Ufone u always rock. and we all should appreciat this kind of work on every nook and corner of the world
