On a visit to the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), Minster of State for IT and Telecom, Ms Anusha Rahman, was informed that a National Data Center will be completed in the coming months in Islamabad.
The new data center is going to provide value added services (VAS) to various arms of government. During the visit, the chairman of NTC, Brig (Retd) Viqar Rashid Khan highlighted NTC’s performance and achievements and he also outlined the issues faced by competition in the telecom sector in Pakistan.
Ms Rahman was appreciative of the NTC and stated that the NTC hold a unique position of being the only state owned telecom company and various government funded bodies should do their best to get telecom and data services from them.
