Ufone Launches iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in Pakistan

And the big news is here as our reports about the launch of iPhone devices in Pakistan have turned out to be true as anything.

And the news is: Ufone has become the first operator in Pakistan to announce the launch of iPhone devices in the country.

Starting today, Ufone will start accepting pre-orders for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and as per Ufone, both the devices will be available on at company sales and service centres from December 11th, 2014.

You can go ahead and get your pre-order placed on this link: ufone.com/iPhone6.

Currently Ufone is holding the price related information from press, but we are told that it won’t be more than the official price of iPhone’s unlocked version.

Expect iPhone 6’s base model to start at or around Rs. 80,000 per unit.

Not to mention, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are being sold at around Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 115,000 respectively.

With the official launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 in Pakistan,  Apple products will now be offered with warranties and replacement plans, depending on the claims and their type. So its not just the price, but a lot more on the platter with this official launch of iPhone in Pakistan.

We are likely to get more details about the Ufone’s prices and other related information in a day or two. Users can expect free 3G from Ufone for few months coming along with the deal.

If you remember, Ufone hinted about the launch of iPhone devices in Pakistan back in July and since then we were just looking forward to the announcement that is just made by the company.

Not to mention, currently iPhone devices are shipped to Pakistan through grey channels and are usually prices 20% more than the original cost. This is going to change now. With the official launch of iPhone smartphones in Pakistan, you will be able to purchase iPhones on the day of availability at international prices (for unlocked devices).

We are currently not aware of any contracts or subsidized iPhone 6 versions, but special packages are definitely going to be on the cards. Let’s wait and watch.

  • Great move. But I’ll be more happy if UFone start collaborate with Google and launch Moto smartphone as well as Nexus

    • Motorola Phones are now under Lenovo and Lenovo has oficially launched there phone in Pakistan i hope they launched Moto phones too, Moto G and Moto E at least at international price.

    • Market doesn’t give Apple warranty which is most of the times free handset replacement!

      • All apple devices have apple warranty which can be claimed in places where apple stores officially exist. This price only makes sense if the Telcos offer to repair/replaces phones like Apple Stores.

    • That is not installments, the phone is subsidized and you pay a lot more for your monthly plan which is usually for a 2 year contract.
So an iPhone will cost you almost double the outright price after 2 years.

      • How are they not installments?. This is how installments work. You pay monthly and end up paying more than the original cost of the product.

  • Its already being sold for 76000 on online stores, so why such a higher price on an official launch?

  • 80,000 is not the official international price its $650=Rs 67,000. Oh and by the way whose selling them for 100,000 & 115,000? You can easily find a 6 for about 74,000 & 6 Plus for 84,000 from Hafeezcentre.
    get your facts right.

    • hafeez center walay 1 saal ki warranty bhi dete hain kia or sath ma free internet bhi ??

      • As a matter of fact, they do! Every Apple device activated from anywhere is covered under 1 year international warranty. You get your faulty device repaired from any Apple Store worldwide or an authorized Apple service center.
About the Internet are Telenor & Ufone giving away Internet worth of Rs. 15,000? 3 or say 6 months of internet won’t cost above Rs.7,000. & they are still having the retailer margin. so there’s that

        • iPhone warranty is only applicable in the purchased country ACA local warranty. The rest of idevices have international warranties but not iphone.
Warranty can be claimed, but need to send back to Dubai or where the set was bought.

          • That’s not correct. I purchased an iPhone from the UK and I got it reparied in France, while I was on a trip there. I’ve heard from quite a few friends to have got Apple to help them on iPhones purchased from the US, in the UK. Apple offers international warranty, so your statement is incorrect. It doesn’t needs to be sent to the country where it was purchased.

            • UK and France are in EU, EU is considered as single country continent for Apple. This is the only exception.

              • No you can get your iphone repaired any where in the world if you change your residency but that phone has to be bought from authorize dealer. those phones available in Pakistan were reported in UK and USA and all Apple products sold by online stores have their own warranty because Apple does not accept their claims. they only accept claims of those phones sold by their authorized service providers(where service provider covers warranty), their online store(Apple owned) and worldwide dealers.
ye bewkoof smajty hafeez center sy ly k apple ko do k bhai repair kr dena tmhra he phone ha :P

            • yes you can but only if you buy your product from authorized apple store. they repair phones if your country of residence changed later on. but the case of pakistan is far different

              • Yes, that’s correct. I confirmed from a friend who is a ”Genius” (people working at Apple are called that) and he told me that iPhones or any Apple Products (Macs/iPads/iPods) purchased from any Apple Retail Store can be repaired from any other Apple Retail Store.

This does not apply to Products purchased from Authorized Apple Resellers, such as different networks. (like 3, O2, EE, AT&T, Verizon, Etisalat) So if you purchase an iPhone from Ufone, only Ufone will be able to repair it – or an Apple Retail Store in Pakistan.

If you purchase an iPhone from Apple Retail Store in Pakistan – or anywhere else, you can get it repaired any other Apple Retail Store in the world, and usually most Factory Unlocked iPhones (which people tend to buy in Pakistan) are sold contract-free from Apple Retail Store, which means all those iPhone 6 people have can be repaired free of charge from Pakistan – If an Apple Retail Store opens up – which is next to impossible, as Apple Retail Store only exists in 16 countries.

Apple Retail Stores are in – Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK & The US. That’s just 16 countries. An Apple Retail Store doesn’t even exist in India or UAE.

        • Bhai jaan apko kis ne keh dia k apple ki warranty ka claim aap ker saktay hain jo ap hafeez center sy buy kerty hain..kuch ziada he joke mar dia apne..Aaam khao gay???

    • The only good news here is Apple’s official presence in Pakistan. That means official service & repair centers and better carrier support

      • iPhones are seldom repaired. Most of the time they are replaced with new one but first they will send to nearest apple headquarters. In case of Pakistan, I think it will be China. After approving you will receive the new set.

    • $650 is the quoted price. They also add tax on the amount which comes to around $70-80. Purchased iPhone 5 online a few months back. They charged this tax then. so the quoted price was way lower than the one i paid. i had it delivered in the US. happened with me, not sure if that’s the case always…

  • The offiicial price differs in different regions.
US is 650+tax= 700$ in us for verizon that is deemed factory unlocked.
Uk is i presume 539£ Without tax that makes it 87000.
    Uae: 74k pkr
    Get your facts right.
Pakistan grey market is cheaper than intl prices.
Selling my iphone 6 will buy this in 80k with warranty.
And prices are goin down down in grey market.

    • Price in the UK is £539 WHICH IS INCLUSIVE OF £90.00 VAT. So the actual price without VAT is around PKR 72,000. You get your facts right.

  • As a general rule. The price is always cheapest in the US. For other regions it largely depends on taxes/import duties/market perception. You can see below how much the price varies per region. It would always be more expensive than the US price and always more than the gray market price as gray market products are not taxed.

  • I expect Ufone would launch IPhone 6/6+ at apple’s official prices & would also introduce their insurance plans with Apple’s plans like Apple care+ & etcetera without charging us premium.
