The Punjab government and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to start issuing computerized arms licenses in the province.
Not to mention, the MoU for initiation of the service was signed in April 2014, however, the process which was delayed due to non-appointment of Chairman NADRA. The process has now been initiated and service will be made live soon.
A statement said that in initial phase licenses will be given in 9 districts of Punjab and old licenses will be replaced by smart cards.
These nine districts include:
- Rawalpindi
- Multan
- D. G. Khan
- Sahiwal
- Bahawalpur
- Lahore
- Gujrat
- Gujranwala
- Sargodha
- Faisalabad
All the applicants for renewal of their arm license will submit their application in respective district’s Deputy Commissioner Office, along their old arm license, photocopy of computerized national identity card and challan.
Applicant will be given a token after attestation of all his documents. Later on applicant will have to go through the processes of bio metric, digital photography and other such systems.
After successfully completing the whole process applicant’s old license will be cancelled and new temporary permit will be issued.

People like me who paid dealers for arm licence and eventually came to know their licence is fake stands no where. Is there any policy to cater people like us. I have been paying tokens for five years and I was simply told my licence is fake. What should I do?
This was the sole purpose to identify the licenses with no record… u will have to apply for new one from DCO office because we are just revalidating licenses upto 2014 from 1998. Thx

Hi Mr Iqbal, I am in overseas and my license was originally issued in 2007. Would you please advise when computerization process of 2007 license will kick in, as now 2009 to 2014 licenses are being dealt with? In case of cancellation, is there a chance of renewal ? Further what if someone wants to apply for a new license, how long does it takes? Apologies for asking too many questions. You seems to be a helping person.

We are currently processing for revalidation only. Other things like cancellation or transfer of ownership is done by concerned deoartement ( punjab govt.) Welcome for any query

Nadra is only revalidating licenses issued betweenn2009-14. New licenses are not yet announced for Nadra. Further details can be obtained from DCO offices …thx

I got a licence for a 30 bore pistol from Assistant Commissioner/ Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattoki District Kasur on 26.05.1994. My licence has since been regularly renewed up to 31.12.2017 by post office. How should I proceed now for renewal of the licence? I shall be grateful for the guidance. And also inform me about the renewal date of licences issued from District Kasur.
W slam. Ur licenses might be renewed from same distt. And all licenses issued after 1984 to 1999 are being renewed now. book let licenses will be treated as cancelled after deadline. What about the 40 years old genuine licences of KPK(then Frontier) whose token are being paid in the Punjab regularly. The NADRA has not computerized such licences because data of other provinces is not available; but these will be computerized in next phase, as told by the NADRA branch manager after suffering hardship for acquiring token by a senior citizen.
Sir… Moi Fedral and Punjab have agreements with Nadra to convert these licenses into computerized. Others govt.s are independrnt. Hopefully next would be Sindh govt. To go for it but no news for rest…

In 2012 i filled the new form and got the computerized licence from NADRA for 1 year validity to expire in Aug’2013. Since that date it is expired and we were getting update every now and then from NADRA office that there was no news for renewal of those expired licences. Lately the expiry date is extended up to 30 Jun 2015 by a letter issued by Ministry of Interior, Islamabad.
Recently I have been informed that i again need to fill up another form for issuing different license by NADRA (though form is not available also). Now i am confused that some staff may not be treating it like computerization of Punjab Licence and i may not end up getting a Punjab based license only instaed of All Pakistan.
Kindly guide and also inform if the new form is mandatory then do i need to be present in person. Any option of giving bio-metrics in Dubai Consulate available?

Aoa, I paid fee through omni on 6 Feb, after that its hell. I went to nadra office situated in assistant commissioner building. I have wasted 4 days but sometimes token are finished, system not working. At least fuckin government should make more offices to. Facilitate people to accomplish it.
