Zong has promoted Babar Bajwa to Chief Commercial Officer’s position, which was previously held by Dr. Zhao Peng, we have checked with sources.
Dr. Zhao has moved back to China Mobile after completing his service term at Zong.
Babar Bajwa, who was working as Executive Director Marketing at Zong for almost a year, will head a variety of company functions including marketing, customer care, sales and distribution, terminal business and all regional commercial segments.
Zong officially confirmed the appointment of Babar Bajwa as Chief Commercial Officer with immediate effect to ProPakistani .
Babar Bajwa brings along 20 years of experience in telecom. Prior to becoming executive director marketing, he remained director customer care and sales and distribution department.
Mr. Bajwa has previously worked with Instaphone and Paktel.
Zong said that it will announce Mr. Bajwa’s replacement for the position of ED Marketing at a later time.
