Twitter Highlights Brings Users Summary of the Day’s Best Tweets

Twitter acknowledges the fact that not everyone has the time to keep up with each and every interesting happening on the social network. In order to make sure that users do not miss out on what might interest them, Twitter has announced a new feature called Highlights on the Android app.

Basically, Highlights delivers push notifications up to twice each day that summarize the best tweets of the day. It’s quite simple; anyone who opts for the rich push notification will have a recap of the most popular tweets made in that day. Thus, there is no need for users to go on a wild popular tweets chase.

In case you were wondering how Twitter has designed Highlights to work, it simply accounts for such things as the conversations users have with other users they follow, events and topics that trend in their vicinity and people they are closely associated with.

The latest variant of Highlights to be made available to Android users will be in English medium of language. It’s only fair to expect that other languages will be added to the feature in the near future. Once the notification is accessed, the user is directed to the Twitter app where Highlights are accessed  in another interface.

If you wish to opt in to Highlights, launch the Twitter app on your Android device and head over to Settings. From here on tap on your account handle and then on Mobile Notifications. Finally, scroll down to Highlights and check the box. Note that in case of multiple account handles, you’ll be required to follow this exercise with all accounts handles if you want it enabled on other accounts as well.
