SBP Increases Daily Limit for Mobile Account Holders to Rs. 50,000 Per Day

State Bank of Pakistan is in process of increasing daily and monthly limits for all (Level 0) mobile account holders.

As per details obtained by ProPakistani, after SBP’s this new policy, all mobile account holders will now be able to send Rs. 50,000 per day or Rs. 80,000 per month through mobile banking services.

State Bank has already allowed Tameer Bank to offer its Easypaisa mobile account holders to send up to Rs. 50,000 a day or Rs. 80,000 a month.

Other Mobile Financial Service providers (UBL Omni, MobiCash, UPaisa and others) will get SBP’s approval for increment in limits with-in next few days.

All mobile account holders will now be able to send Rs. 50,000 per day or Rs. 80,000 per month through mobile banking services

Previously limits for mobile account holder were Rs. 15,000 per day and Rs. 25,000 per month.

State bank said that all mobile account holders are biometrically verified and hence it makes more sense to allow more convenience and freedom to mobile banking users.

Not to mention, you need to have a mobile phone SIM to be able to open mobile account. Since all SIMs are now biometrically verified, and hence all mobile account holders — for any MFS service — are naturally verified by default.
