Ericsson Congratulates Warid Telecom on 10th Anniversary

Ericsson has celebrated Warid’s 10 anniversary by congratulating the company for completing its 10 years of service excellence in Pakistan.

Occasion also marked the 10 years of business partnership between Warid Telecom and Ericsson. Warid is one of the first few networks in the world leapfrogging directly from 2G to 4G LTE technology, opening new partnering opportunities with third-party providers to offer customers enhanced data-based content over their mobile devices.

Victoria Strand, President Ericsson AB UAE and Vice President Customer Unit Gulf Countries and Pakistan along with Mr. Muneer Farooqui, CEO Warid Telecom were present at the cake cutting ceremony.

Victoria while commenting on Warid Telecom’s 10th anniversary said “I congratulate Warid Telecom for completing its 10 years of service excellence in Pakistan. Not only Warid has thrived in all these years, it has also become the largest 4G LTE network in the country which is another milestone company has achieved.

She further wished Warid Telecom great progress in years to come.

Ericsson is Warid’s technology partner since day one of their presence in Pakistan. Ericsson also helped Warid in deploying country’s first 4G LTE network, that too without any additional spend on spectrum.
