WECREATE Pakistan is now accepting applications for its nationwide startup competition. The women’s entrepreneurial center is inviting all women entrepreneurs with promising business ideas to step forth and become a part of its family of entrepreneurs.
Women entrepreneurs who compete in the WECREATE Challenge will be rewarded for successfully converting their ideas into viable business models, and subsequently modifying these business models as they learn what drives customers and revenue. They are not expected to be accounting professionals or experts at creating polished documents. Instead, the event producers are passionate about seeing regular people step up and realize their dreams through their hard work and dedication.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to all Pakistani women who are currently in the ideation phase of the development of their business models. In addition, founders or co-founders of existing women-run businesses can also apply.
What is the criteria for selection?
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a number of factors, which include innovation, viability, as well as the unique selling proposition of each applicant’s business idea. Those who are shortlisted will be notified for further proceedings via email.
What benefits can selected entrepreneurs expect?
All selected women entrepreneurs will receive a year-long incubation for their business ventures at WECREATE. In addition, the first, second, and third position holders will receive a prize money of Rs. 300,00, Rs. 100,000, and Rs. 50,000 respectively.
During the incubation period, the WECREATE center will develop the capability of women owned startups and extend support to them as they switch over from working individuals to legally registered companies. It will also mould their portfolio for tools, resources, and programs to tackle the distinct concerns of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan. In addition, the center will carry out training and mentorship sessions in order to boost women owned startups.
