Huawei P8 Lite Beats Samsung Sales in Pakistan: GFK

Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GFK), a German based market research Institute, confirmed through a recent study of market trend in Pakistan that Huawei P8 Lite secured superior sales in comparison to its competitor, Samsung, in the month of July.

Huawei, while citing GFK study in a press statement issued moments ago, said that its P8 Lite — launched earlier this year — captured 41% market share in the price point, as compared to Samsung Galaxy A3 that was was able to grab 39% market share.

Huawei also said that sales of Samsung Galaxy A3 is facing a declining trend in the face of stable sales percentage of Huawei P8 Lite.

Director marketing Huawei devices in Pakistan, Mr. Fanhong Bruce, said that, “We are extremely delighted with the strong response that we have received from our customers in Pakistan. We assure that Huawei would continue to provide them with excellent devices and services in the coming times as well”.

The year 2015 has proven extremely fortunate for Huawei. The smart phone sales and customer’s response to Huawei devices has been incredible.

It is worth mentioning here that Huawei P8 Lite is a recent launch in Pakistan that attracted consumers in the market due its amazingly marvelous features and classic style.

  • “Huawei also said that sales of Samsung Galaxy A3 is facing a declining trend in the face of stable sales percentage of Huawei P8 Lite” Really??? Huawei said that??? or it was GFK study??

    • I swear I haven’t seen a single person carrying a Huawei P-8 Lite, and keep in mind that I am surrounded by a LOT of smartphone users. So this article really doesn’t reflect any reality. Also, A-3 is Samsung Galaxy’s least sold smartphone in the last 6 months, why would it even be considered her? This comparison doesn’t make any sense.

  • Well i just came to know about p8 lite last week when i was searching for a nice mid range 4g phone & i found p8 lite the best available

  • also i am using P8 lite Its Too GOOD Battery is Mid But any its Price And Look it Really Too GOOD

  • I am using this from two months and its best w.r.t its price. It gave me 13 mb speed on 4g on zong internet on motorway. I am medium cellphone user and when I return home its battery is still 70 percent remaining. Some time I dont need to charge for second day. Best mobile in this price. But only problem I think in its software is that it doesnt have app folder. All apps installed or preinstalled are saved on Home (desktop). Otherwise fine and handy.

  • The Moto G and subsequent phones like it were made by possible by an economic process known as commoditization. As smartphones have become ludicrously common ludicrously quickly, competition to provide the best device at the best price has skyrocketed. Component suppliers like Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Intel have streamlined and simplified their SKUs to provide “ready to build” reference designs to customers that dramatically lower the cost of device development. And as the margins for these components are squeezed ever-tighter by increasing competition and saturation, consumers are winning with nearly every product announcement as phone MSRPs hone in ever-closer on an “optimal” balance of price, performance, and reliability.

  • I used it for a week, good phone in this price range but highly disappointed by it’s battery. It gives just 4-6hrs on continuous wifi usage only.

  • Humbly and respectfully,
I’m using this phone since last month without any issues. For those who’re saying that P8 Lite has a poor battery timing; are doing injustice towards this gadget. This is a lovely gadget with Octa-core processor and a superb RAM; on top of that, LTE with dual sim and Lollipop.
Yes, the battery timings would definitely get effected if you don’t optimise the apps and proper settings. Plus, with a good battery saving app, this goes too far. I get around 19-20 Mbps on Zong LTE without any phone set heating. And yes, I do get an average of 1.5 day battery timings using Wifi + LTE.
What else you guys need in Rs 21,500 having Octa-core, 13 Megapixel Cam, 2 GB RAM, LTE, Dual SIM, Huawei Cloud, Google Drive & Dropbox bundle…..
Remember: No phone in the world exist without any negative feedback remarks or comments. Even if Huawei or Apple or Samsung make a battery power with Nuclear technology (which could last till light years), yet there would be our Paki guys who would simply reject by saying: Yar, battery boht jald khatm ho jati hai.. etc etc”
Again, not to hurt anybody’s feelings, but just wanted to let you know that whenever you leave a negative comment, do not forget to mention its Pros too!
    Thanks

  • i like this, SCAM-sung has been putting out low performance devices for years now, i bet if Xiaomi is launched in Pakistan, then say bye bye to all others

  • Well the people here taunting seems that they have less knowledge about smart phones. I am working in telecom industry and from last couple of months 70% Educated customers are using P8 Normal or P8 Lite. No doubt its a best phone in market for mid range users.

  • is battery removable? do huawei sell ORIGINAL spare/extra Batteries also in Pakistan for their own mobiles?
