Telenor Brings Internet of Things Awards Competition To Pakistan

Telenor is going to hold the Internet of Things (IOT) Awards for the first time in Pakistan. It’s a competition aimed at familiarizing the local community with IoT and promoting the best solutions via the competition.

The company claims that the IOT Awards are all about making the world a better place. Telenor is promoting innovation amongst the youth of Pakistan and probing for futuristic tech solutions. The mobile network’s social media campaign makes it pretty clear that the company is focusing on smart solutions to everyday problems with great focus on these solutions being environment friendly.

Telenor held an IoT Exhibition in April this year featuring innovative products and solutions via IoT enabled devices. The company launched “Connected Device Project” on the day of the exhibition as well. The exhibition showcased solutions to industrial, residential and commercial complications. CEO Telenor, Michael Foley, mentioned that that with the IoT concept, Telenor wants to bring Pakistan on par with the rest of the world in terms of internet and technology. The IOT Awards seem to be a part of the very same objective.
