  • i dont have experience in ordering any electronics from international.
After ordering what is the procedure do i have to get into some custom office for clearance and how i will know they have got my product in office

    • i ordered small electronics (digital thermometer, otg cable, car charger e.t.c) they all arrived at my door step, no delivery charges from DX. I too want to know about bigger electronics like mobile e.t.c

    • Depends on what you are getting. Most digital items will be brought to your home and the postman will ask for the customs (if there are any). I’ve imported small items like earphones etc and have never been asked to pay customs. For communication devices e.g. Mobile Phones you’ll need NOC from PTA before the device is released to you.

    • i bought lenovo from aliexpress of worth 14000 and i had to pay 3000 at custom ofice as custom to free my mobile… ???

            • It depends. Clothes, smartphone cases or other misc. items get delivered duty-free. Same price as you pay for from AliExpress.

Its a good idea to check shipping rates. AliExpress gives you both free or paid shipping options depending on buyer.

          • I just bought orange Pi…Similar to raspberry Pi…Duty Lagey gi ya nahin ?
Do I have to go to the Post Office?

            • Noman, I have ordered several electronic stuff from AliExpress like so far 2 Raspberry Pis, 1 Power Bank, flash drive, Micro SD cards and several other electronic sensors and all arrived without any custom taxes. Now, I’m waiting for my full HD dash-cam, let’s see if I have to pay any taxes for it or not :) Btw, I never had to pay any taxes so far.

                • Usually it takes 30 to 45 days to be reached to your home. But sometimes it could be as little as 2 weeks, if your item is relatively very small like Micro SD card or a USB. My fastest order was like 11 days.

                  • if i order redmi note 3 from ALIEXPRESS should i need to pay taxes ? can u guide me the whole procedure. Like how u get the product in the end does that product arrive at pakistan post office or at ur home if it arrive at Pakistan post office will they dilver it to u or keep it with their selves as i have doubt on loyalty of PPO

  • very informative article.
we need more of this kind of stuff.
if i order phone using aliexpress how much duty do i need to pay

  • plz also write similar kind of article about free lancing in Pakistan specially for people who are not from pure IT background

  • Nice article! Please write a new article with full details and procedures about how to import smartphones from Ali Express or such other stores of China.
