HomeShopping.PK and Creative Chaos Join Hands to Form Joint Venture

HomeShopping Pakistan and Creative Chaos have joined hands to form HSN Ventures — a joint venture between Shayaan Tahir of HomeShopping.PK and Creative Chaos — that will now fully own HomeShopping.PK.

HSN Ventures, after this transaction, will initiate several new e-commerce projects in various vectors in addition to HomeShopping.PK, which is already a profitable business.

While financial details were not revealed, Shayaan Tahir is said to have majority stakes in the JV.

Shayaan is going to take operational control of HSN Ventures’ projects (including HomeShopping.PK) while Creative Chaos will play its role in building scalable products based on their expertise and experience with leading global ecommerce players.

It won’t be out of place to mention that Creative Chaos has worked with various global ecommerce players including Groupon, ebay, Staples and Sears for their ecommerce products.

Shakir Husain, CEO of Creative Chaos, while speaking with ProPakistani, said that its exciting times to be in e-commerce space in Pakistan as there’s a lot of growing interest from both local and international investors for companies working in the domain.

Shakir said that he is holding financial details for now as they are currently in talks with certain investors for the capital injection into the JV.

Shayaan Tahir, Founder of HomeShopping.PK, while speaking with ProPakistani, said that after this transaction Pakistanis should expect more stores in various untapped e-commerce vectors in the country.

He said that dedicated stores for groceries, toys, furniture etc. are being worked out by HSN ventures that will go live during days to come. He explained that each such store will be headed by a dedicated CEO while HomeShopping.PK will continue to work as an independent store in future too.

With the world’s sixth largest population of 200 million people, of which 55% are under the age of 25, and over 30 million internet users, Pakistan is expected to see a boom in ecommerce in the next 5 years.

There are currently over 20 million 3G and 4G internet users with nearly one million new 3G/4G subscribers being added every month.

Estimates value the current ecommerce market at around 60 Million dollars and project it to rise to well over 1 billion dollars in the next five years.

  • Brainchild of Mr. Shayan Tahir a.k.a Homeshopping is nothing but absolute fraud. I’ve been (nearly) ripped off twice by them amidst thousand of other ecommerce users. They bring a bad name to ecom in Pakistan and are killing the trust of Pakistani audience.

Goes without saying, this will only blemish CC’s repute in the market.

      • Would be happy to help sir .. Please share your order number as DOA items are to be replaced as per our policy and would be happy to see why it was not done so .

        • I have already talked to customer support and they are saying that it’s still in Warranty department and that the item still hasn’t been replaced.
          Order number 133219

          • ok then that we shall see for you . I would request you to please share your order number so we could look ?

          • seagate harddrive is what you ordered and it comes with official 1 year seagate Pakistan warranty by marsons which is the seller here . It has been sent to the company and currently being replaced by the company . Your ticket is currently open and not closed and yet assured your product shall be replaced by the seller and not repaired . Thank you for sharing the order number.

            • Talked to the head of the CS department and he personally looked over my case to expedite the whole process.

And so, finally received my hard drive today (in working condition this time). Happy with my purchase in the end.

    • Hi Mr Ali , I would be the Head of Support Department at HSN and would be happy to help if that is the case. Could you please elaborate on the “nearly” bit ? We were the first store to come with a effective 7 days return policy which made all other online stores to come up with that as a standard. Being a market place yes we have good and bad transactions but the reason it was nearly and not a reality was maybe due to the checks and balances put in place to protect our customers. If you still need any help with any of your orders we are always open to be reached at [email protected]

          • “Hi Mr Ali , I would be the Head of Support Department at HSN”

Are you not the Head of SD right now? We will talk once you become the Head.

            **

If you can’t control what you type, how can you control the CS department?

            • Also, I can’t bother and waste my time any further messaging/emailing/calling the morons at Homeshopping. I have had first hand-experience twice and that’s more than enough for me to believe that you guys are nothing but complete rip-offs.

    • I don’t know, I got a 40″ Samsung LED during the recent White Friday event and couldn’t be more happy with the purchase. I’d previously surveyed the market so I know I got a real discount, as opposed to fake price drops on other sites. Delivery was quick and service was top notch. They even set up the TV even though that was not in their responsibilities.

      • Thank you for sharing your positive experiences not many do that and its only the negative ones that make it to posts however just like any other marketplace in the world there are good and bad experiences we are here to make sure that the ones who face a bad ones are taken care of and converted to a good one .

    • Let’s talk another Highway robbery of this “Cheezmall” (Read: Fraudmall), the orders which were given on 25th November sale are never reached to the buyers till to date, and while asking from their helpline they are replying that due to customs issues n etc its late but we might not be able to deliver the items, however same items are still for sale on their website. So the discount was just an eyewash because orders are never gonna arrive but one can order the same things without discount as all those things are displayed and readily available.

Now who will raise voice for their frauds? when it comes to promoting their fake schemes and promotions, then propakistani leaves no stone unturned to persuade audience but when it’s about exposing them then no one stand for the consumers rights. I alone can tell couple of my orders which are not reached even after a month and may never reach and there are numerous other buyers who are going through the same. Inquire this matter and expose them that why they floated fake sales when they can’t deliver the orders even after whole confirmation process and all?

  • Unfortunately none of the Pakistani ecommerce markets are trust-worthy. I have almost tried all of them : Daraz, HSN, Bytes to name a few but they are just interested in making money. They just simply don’t care about customers. Black Friday (daraz) and White Friday (HSN) was a fail, although they got many orders but they lost majority of the customers because of their limited stocks, technical issues and lack of support.

I am happy to pay custom charges and import items needed from Amazon, NewEgg, eBay or AliExpress.

  • Been customer of HS for a longtime. Initially, the prices were very attractive, but lately they are charging hefty amount, stating that they have to pay Taxes and Duties. So,many of the imported items are available at cheaper rates in Market then on the Website. The second issue is with their support, had an issue with my Phone, when I called them, they told me that I need to ship it back to them and I have to bear the shipping charges (if my memory serves me right). This made it unattractive, since any damage to the phone during shipping will be my responsibility. So, at the end, I decided to have it repaired locally. On the plus side, they are kind of pioneers along with Shophive and BuyPakistan (not sure what happened to BuyPakistan). Also, they do respond to e-mails and comments, which is not a common thing among other E-commerce sites in Pakistan. Recently had an issue with Daraz, and never got a response for my e-mails. Ended up calling them multiple times, issue was resolved though in the end.

    • Thank you for your feedback sir . We do cover all cost for return shipments just in case :)

  • Daraz giri.. I faced a hell of an issue with daraz on black Friday purchase, Daraz made me wait for 20 days then asked to change color of the phone which I agreed and they assured me delivery in 2 days which they didn’t and after 3 days they called me to say either cancel my order or to downgrade the phone with 1GB ram. I insisted them to give me another phone with 2 Gb but they said il have to pay more. After much discussion and their attitude of take it or leave I agreed to downgraded version of phone.
I received delivery but accessories (cover an screen protector) are missing which were part of package. Further more its been a week of me pursuing them to deliver the coupon of remaining amount to which I only have false promises.
Another miscommittnent they did is on their app discount code. Their own customer service told me I can apply code on any product and get a RS 1000 discount but now they say it has to be a product above 7000.. Extremely bad customer service
My friends have bought apple products from Homeshopping and the whole process was smooth and they were treated well.
My order number with Daraz was 202276922

  • Daraz Black Friday deal was completely failed. I ordered a shirt of Gul Ahmed. They couldn’t deliver shirt on time. I visited there but no solution. Some employees said me to cancel the order to take my amount refund but I didnt. I then moved to abroad and after 20 days they delivered the product to my doorstep.

  • I think it’s a good decision made by Shayaan, I have been using HomeShopping from the last 5 years and I can say this without any doubt that they are the best when it comes to product prices & customer support. I think Website/logo design is the only thing where HomeShopping lacks in, and now they have joined hands with Creative Chaos so we can expect a much better design and marketing strategies.

  • I bought 3 mobiles from Home Shopping. Amazing experience…. one of them has 3G issue their representative on spot return my cash and take it back …
I am quite happy with their customer support….
I know there are both negative and positive experiences with every online store…. I have done business with many other online stores but i can surely say as per my experience that Homeshopping.pk and Telemart these two online store are amazing with their exceptional customer care and support and extended return policies….

  • Same here, but I asked for Refund instead (since they were offering 1GB Model for the Price of 2GB, stating that the actual price of phone has gone up after the Black Friday Sales) and finally got refund this week. Least that was not lost.

  • I bought Blackberry Q10 from HSN two months ago and I would like to say that I was very happy with both customer support and product. Furthermore, I am not the only one with such views k they have original products with lowest possible prices in the market.

  • Homeshopping was best in past.
Now due to exanding variety they have some faults.

    CONS:
●Description of many produts are wrong.
●price beating policy is delayed even days to weeks from finance department, it has been almost failed
●communication gap between different department (product of different specification is sent)
●some high end mobiles are refurbished inspite of claiming new
●even basic products (like dual sim low cost nokia) are not on board.
●same problem of mismanagement of abroad products in Pakistan as daraz.pk do for its products.
●there was a time when homeshopping was a name of lowest online price but now thay add Rs 1000 in one product and label it with with Rs 500 discount.
●shophive, myshop, galaxy.com.pk have evolved their name by quick service, reliable and affordable products (they also provide at least price matching policy very quickly)
●Customer service standard has been very poor. Inspite of a larger store they confirm order via SMS (rediculously), moreover their help lines have become daraz.pk i.e no proper response.
●you have mixed 1 year warranty wath 7 days replacement warranty n charge Rs 2000
●very few updated hardwares (laptops) as compared with myshop
●local Acessories are are costly e.g OTG is being sold at Rs 300-400 while daraz sells it at 100-150
●As compared with daraz quantity of products is low.

    PROS:
●Price beating policy (although level has been low)
●transactions are fair and no issue in refund
●7 days warranty (unfortunately for electronics you have to pay Rs 2000 extra)
●Free delivery in case of online payment
●Shayan Tahir (only reason for which i prefer homeshopping as he introduced Pakistani Amazon)

    Suggestion:
    ●Correct above mentioned faults
●improve customer care (otherwise daraz.pk is much better than other Pakistani e.store, the only problem with daraz.pk is customer care)
●Bound finance department to confirm price beating in 24 hours
●7 days warramty for elextronics must not be with a tag of Rs 2000 (you can charge optional 1 year warranty)

    • Hello everyone,

retailers in USA, China and Europe and get your orders delivered in
Pakistan within 3-8 days at cheapest shipping rates.

      Visit: http://www.PkShip.Com

      • Would someone like to shed some light on this “pkship”. Is it of some work or same eyewash as online stores?

        • Hi Ishtiaq,

PkShip is not an online store rather it has created a platform to connect Pakistani eShoppers to global e-stores. PkShip will eliminate all middlemen between brand & its customers. Anyone can order online from Amazon, eBay or any retailer in USA, EU and China and PkShip is responsible to deliver your orders within 3-8 days to your doorstep in Pakistan. No need to share URLs with anyone else (to order for you from Amazon) now by compromising your privacy.

Don’t forget that only 4% items listed on Amazon are eligible for global shipping so even if Amazon starts delivery to Pakistan, Pakistanis won’t have access to 100% products of Amazon.

          All the best!

    • thank you very much for your suggestion……kam us kam pehla pakistani dekha ha jo tanqid ka bad us ka hal b bata raha ha

  • i ordered hoodies from bytes.pk. they were made like locally .. so brand was not that which i saw … totally fraud .. and also thought never buy any thing online .especially from pakistan ecom.
