Oracle Day Event in Pakistan Serves as Showcase for New Products

Oracle Pakistan showcased the breadth and depth of the Oracle Cloud portfolio to its various customers from a wide range of industries in Pakistan. In addition, Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) members demonstrated their ability and expertise in helping customers implement Oracle Cloud solutions.

During the Oracle Day event, Oracle senior executives from Pakistan and across the region, as well as partners and customers shared their experiences and expertise in the cloud about how to modernize big data, data warehousing, marketing, and digital processes. Key topics discussed included digital innovation and digital disruption, the modern cloud, creating a unified data platform, the future of modern marketing, and the rise of digital in identity.

Session speakers highlighted Oracle’s vast portfolio of cloud solutions and how they help organizations capitalize on key transformative technologies such as big data analytics, social, mobile, and IoT, as well as how to continue to extend foundational use cases that enable organizations to move enterprise workloads to the cloud.

Oracle also recently introduced a range of new Oracle Cloud services to help companies transition to the cloud. The new services enhance the breadth and depth of Oracle’s extensive cloud portfolio in Pakistan across all layers of the stack – Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

The Oracle Cloud Platform provides a complete suite of services that enable organizations to rapidly build and deploy rich applications — or extend Oracle Cloud SaaS applications—using an enterprise-grade cloud platform based on the industry’s number one database and application server. The latest additions to the portfolio include Oracle Big Data Cloud, Oracle Big Data Discovery Cloud, Oracle Database Exadata Cloud and several others.

Oracle’s IaaS portfolio delivers a complete set of core services for running enterprise workloads like elastic compute, networking, and storage. New services include: Oracle Compute Cloud; Oracle Network Cloud – Virtual Private Network and Fast Connect; Oracle Storage Cloud – Bulk Data Transfer; and Oracle Messaging Cloud.

Oracle also recently launched Oracle Cloud at Customer, designed to enable organizations to easily move to the cloud and remove some of the biggest obstacles to cloud adoption. These services provide organizations with new choices in where they deploy their enterprise software and a natural path to easily move business critical applications from on-premise to the cloud. Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS services can be deployed wherever an organization chooses – in the Oracle Cloud or in their own data center via the Oracle Cloud at Customer offering.

The IT landscape is changing rapidly and businesses are more focused on getting highly personalized and secure cloud services to stay ahead of the competition. These new Oracle Cloud services can also help technology providers leverage flexible, proven, and secure cloud infrastructure to provide their customers in Pakistan with highly innovative and accessible cloud-based services. – Ahsen Javed, managing director, Oracle Pakistan and SAGE-W.

On the SaaS front, the event highlighted industry-specific capabilities across professional services, public sector, education, and manufacturing verticals, which help ensure customers have the purpose-built, industry-tailored solutions for their specific needs.

Another key area showcased was Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud’s modern user interface, which delivers embedded analytics, contextual social collaboration, and a device-independent mobile experience to make the solution familiar and easy to use.

As companies strive to stay competitive in today’s challenging business environment, they are increasingly turning to Oracle ERP Cloud for the complete, natively integrated solution in order to gain scale and support their growth. Oracle ERP Cloud delivers the most complete breadth and depth of functionality of its kind, not only to large enterprises, but also to small- and medium-sized businesses. We are confident that Oracle ERP Cloud can help organizations of all sizes in Pakistan enhance their efficiency and profitability. – Akkasha Sultan, senior sales director, Application Business, Oracle ASean, Oracle.

The Oracle Cloud has shown strong adoption, supporting 70+ million users and more than 34 billion transactions each day. It runs in 19 data centers around the world.
