Samsung Halts Pre-Orders for Note 7 in Pakistan, Launch Date Unconfirmed

After world wide recall of Note 7 and delay in launch of company’s flagship smartphone in markets where it wasn’t launched, the Samsung Pakistan has now confirmed that Note 7 Launch in Pakistan will be delayed as well.

Samsung Pakistan, in a statement, said that it has also stopped the pre-orders and any placed orders will be processed only after launch of Note 7 in Pakistan.

It merits mentioning here that Samsung was booking pre-orders for Note 7 at Rs. 93,500.

Samsung Pakistan, however, didn’t confirm any launch date for Note 7 but we think it will not be possible any earlier than October.

It maybe recalled that Samsung issued a world wide recall of Note 7 in markets where it was launched, including South Korea.

It is estimated that company lost US 1 billion dollars due to a battery issue as at least 35 Note 7 devices caught fire when charging.

Samsung, in its statement, said that it is committed to producing the highest quality products and that it takes every incident report from customers very seriously. “In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue”.

Samsung Pakistan said that it will announce a launch date at a later time.

“We acknowledge that this may cause inconvenience in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers”, said Samsung Pakistan.

    • They are brought from Dubai.. Coz in dubai samsung products are delivered early. Ishopping.pk also dosen’t offer any official warranty of samsung, instead they offer their own warranty which itself is a bummer.

  • i waited for galaxy note 7 and saved money to buy at first in pakistan. Also gave preorder for this device but how unfortunate am i. i love samsungs products but this time samsung dissappoint me with its faulty note 7
i will buy note 7 if it will launch before iphone 7. 16 september 2016.

  • Note 7 pre-orders are/were being charged PKR 93,500. Correct the figure mentioned in the article.

    • Yes…and what an article, it is all copy paste from other sites. The article is about Samsung Pakistan and the rate of 84,999 is of un-official sellers…….It has been 6 days since the official recall has been announced and now Samsung Pakistan is confirming the delay…what a quick response. Samsung Pakistan will have to act fast to provide the rectified Note 7 in Pakistan as early as possible since the deliveries were already delayed otherwise it will loose sales…

  • I am not a samsung fan but I like their approach behind quality products. To bear a loss of 1 Billion dollar just to ensure an issue is a very big deal. It can not be expected by chinese like Huawei, OPPO or even from HTC. Only Apple and Samsung are in this league.

  • A product is first launched with a launch event (like US and India) and then the pre-orders start whereas in Pakistan the pre-orders started without Samsung Pakistan having conducted a Note 7 Launch Event…

  • I hope Samsung will not sell all recalled phones in Pakistan after rectification because those phones have been used by someone for about 2 weeks :o

  • Now after few months market will be flooded with note 7 kits, if samsung decided to sell them as refurbished units.

  • I’m really concerned about my note 7 which i buy from ishopping.pk. fabulous phone but i want my phone to be replaced. Can anyone tell me what’s the way out for persons like me

  • Yeah ‘Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers’ like Galaxy Note 7.

    • Hey can anyone help me i bought note 7 in the first week of september its non warranty cost me 94 thousand i didnt give it in first recall now i am concerend that samsung is going to stop the production of note 7 am i still able to return or exchange it ? As note 7 was not officially launched in pakistan personally i have no issues with the device right now i cant afford a new one what if i keep using it will samsung deactivate it remotley ?? And even if i want to return it is it possible to return it like else where its happening in the other countries or i am not able to give it back because note 7 is not launched in pakistan and also from where i bought the shopkeeper only sold it without warranty so i cannot participate in exchange program
