The ride hailing market is facing rising competition from new entrants. Just a few days ago we saw Daewoo, a leading intercity transportation service provider, make an entry into the market segment with its own app. Prior to this, we have seen many newcomers with their unique take on transportation services.
And now, ARY has also started its own ride hailing service, dubbed ARY Sahulat Say Chalo (ARY SSC).
The ARY SSC service is currently only available in Karachi. The company claims that rides are available within minutes of being hailed throughout the day.
ARY further claims that its SSC service is the first “Made in Pakistan” car and rickshaw hire company and is a part of its “Be an entrepreneur” program.
For Customers
Just like any other ride hailing service, ARY SSC rides can be booked using a smartphone app. However, ARY gives an additional option which allows customers who visit any ARY Sahulat Bazar to book through kiosks as well.
Once a ride has been booked, the system matches the customer with an executive (driver) along with details of the executive on the app screen. The on-screen information is similar to Careem or Uber, displaying the estimated fare, arrival time and map tracking.
ARY has also introduced some new features which make its rides more safer and convenient:
- No peak, off-peak or surge pricing.
- Rates are comparable to Careem and Uber for both rickshaws and cars.
- Ability to pause a ride if the driver is refueling or changing a flat tire.
- Emergency Button in the app for immediate protection from any sort of issue.
- All users become ARY E-Sahulat Members after signing up for ARY SSC, allowing for additional discounts.
The ICE (In case of Emergency) button allows the customers to get help via a dedicated 24-hour helpline.
Payments can be made via cash or through ARY Sahulat Cards.
The ARY SSC app for customers can be downloaded from the Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS).
For Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs get a chance to make money through the ARY SSC service. Each executive is allowed to entertain their customers in the best way possible. However, everyone has to pass a special training program first so that client satisfaction can be guaranteed.
Those who are willing to register with ARY SSC as an executive, need to visit any ARY SSC center with the following information and their “well-maintained car”.
- Valid CNIC
- Driving License
- 4 Passport-sized photographs
- Character certificate
- Two personal references
When accepted, the ARY SSC team provides an Executive app to the drivers.
ARY SSC can be contacted at 021-111-000-162 for more information.
Sahulat sa fraud….lol
Uninstalled right after installation, asking too much info for registration, I am too lazy to fill it and skeptical too.
Rates should have been mentioned in the article.
They can’t since ARY paid them to mislead customers using this generic line instead:
“Rates are comparable to Careem and Uber for both rickshaws and cars.”
This is a complete fabrication of course. Rates are nowhere close to those two. Their Rickshaw service charges more than Uber & Careem’s executive cars.
Not true @all.
Nice try ARY.

Driving on the roads of Karachi sucks tho.
Hum Karachi Se Pyaar Karte HAI Road to Highway Ki Bhi Sahi Nahi :
Karachi to Phir Bhi Kisi List Main Nahi Ata :
I check in android store only 23 times consumer download this apps. Even ARY employee itself not interested in it. lol
Not true.
The app is continuously crashing on my Phone. Also under user reviews on PlayStore I found many complaining about the same app crash issues. Looks like its not that easy as the investors like ARY think it is. And when the App start working fine, I really don’t think that the travel would be cheaper than Uber…!
