The well-known TV anchor and ex-politician, Aamir Liaquat has officially announced that he’s joinging the current affairs news channel, 24NewsHD.

The Lahore-based 24NewsHD isn’t a popular news channel but will surely get some spotlight thanks to Aamir Liaquat’s entry. He is expected to start his own program soon enough.
The TV host has a habit of staying in the news thanks to controversial remarks or activities. Hopefully he won’t end up in another controversy at his new workplace.
Aamir Liaquat and BOL News
4 months ago, after his dramatic departure from BOL News in the middle of a live broadcast, Aamir Liaquat has constantly remained active on social media. Right before the transmission on BOL news was cut-off that day, Aamir Liaquat took his leave after saying,
Today we’re so divided that we do not have any answer for our own identification, we’re asked whether we’re ready to be Pakistanis. I might have made a mistake, but I always admit my mistakes, since this is my last program on BOL and I will not be seen on BOL again.
Some believed it to be a petty publicity stunt by BOL News to get attention and this speculation started making sense after BOL News, only 17 days after Aamir Liaquat’s leave, announced Aamir Liaquat’s new show and continued transmission for the previous one, Aisay Nahi Chalay Ga, as well.
But Dr. Aamir Liaqat seemed to had some grudges with BOL News and he resigned from the news channel, again, 3-4 weeks ago saying that the channel owed him his dues.

He is basically an entertainer and like to remain in News. Initially he was Shia Muslim and then converted into Sunni Muslim (Barelvi more precisely). His biasing with Barelvi school of thought can be observed. It is very difficult to take him as serious religious scholar or scholar because usually his research work consist of fake and very week Hadiths.
