KIA Motors Signs Agreement with Ministry of Industries & Production

KIA-Lucky Motors has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Industries & Production for the production of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Reportedly, a wide-variety of commercial and passenger vehicles will be produced after a production plant is set up in Karachi by the company. Around $115 million is expected to be invested to bring the KIA vehicle brand into Pakistan.

The agreement follows the Automotive Development Policy 2016-2021 and is signed under it.

After the inauguration of the new auto policy, Pakistan’s auto industry has made slight improvements and new cars are being introduced in the market — much better than the one’s we are stuck with — by brands such as Hyundai, Renault, and now KIA.

According to experts and car enthusiast, KIA are likely to launch its following brands in Pakistan:

KIA Sportage

KIA Carnival

KIA Rio

Pakistan’s auto industry has often been a target of criticism due to lack of innovation and high prices. However, the arrival of new car manufacturers can finally change the trend.

Moreover, it can also push the existing manufacturers to improve their quality.

KIA, The Most Reliable Car Brand

Multi-national brand KIA, was rated as the most reliable car brand back in 2016 and we can expect it to produce great vehicles for an optimum and rational price.

Their establishment, along with other car brands, is bound to diversify Pakistan’s auto-market, increasing the competition for local automakers and forcing them to improve their services and prices.

The Korean manufacturer, KIA is a highly regarded brand in the west and produces a wide-range of vehicles. The list is huge and it includes budget hatchbacks, crossovers, SUVs, high-end sedans, and even fuel efficient hybrids.
