Pakistan Super League Season 4 drafts are just around the corner. While every cricket crazy fan is waiting to see their favorite players in action, the league management has also released a list of start cricketers from around the world who have made it to the top category.
Former Australian skipper Steve Smith and the former captain of South African team AB de Villiers are the highlights of the category. Aussie opener Chris Lynn, who was ruled out of the last year’s season with an injury, has signed for the PSL 2019 edition.
Afghanistan’s young spin sensation Rashid Khan, Windies trio of Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine and New Zeland’s swashbuckling all-rounder Colin Munro are also part of the platinum players’ list.
Multan Sultan’s all-rounder Pollard, who transferred from Karachi Kings last year, said he was looking forward to playing in the most exciting league once again.

For his blistering and tournament-winning performance in last year’s edition, Kiwi wicket-keeper batsman Luke Ronchi has earned himself a promotion from the Diamond category to Platinum this year. He was the top scorer for the 2018’s champions Islamabad United with 435 runs in 11 matches.
“I had a phenomenal run in PSL last year and I can’t wait to get back into action,” said Ronchi.
New Zealand’s former skipper Brendon McCullum, who led lackluster Lahore Qalandars in the previous edition, and his teammate Mitchell McClenaghan have also signed for PSL 4.
Other players in the list include Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera and the left-arm South African Colin Ingram.
Ingram, who is coming from a very successful T20 campaign in England where he scored 430 runs in 11 matches this season, had few good things to say about the lucrative tournament.
The quality of cricket in PSL stood out for me but, more importantly, I am very proud of the fact that I played in Pakistan and experienced what this game means to Pakistani fans.
Here is the list of local players in the Platinum category:
