Is there any solution to counter poor DSL speed. Only receiving .35Mb against 1Mb package. Complaining PTCL for the last 3 months but nothing positive.

What does your modem say about your upstream/downstream? For example my modem says

Downstream Margin: 15 db
Upstream Margin: 6 db

Which is BAD (it has been like this since they did some work on the wires one month ago). Usually I get down margin 22 up margin 13 which is a lottttt better.

Dear with these statistics, speedtest showing download speed 0.13Mbps and upload speed 0.21MBps. Its too bad. Pl.advise.

^ these stats are great, i guess you are on Fiber Optic, might be some problem at PTCL end, try changing Modulation to G.Dmt and restart the router.

I haven't seen 30+ downstream margin in years. Sad.

Thanks for guidance. No doubt everybody,even PTCL people saying stats are great but what is the problem with speed. I have to wait 10 minutes just to see 1 minutes clip on youtube. Anyhow pl. guide me how to change modulation to G.Dmt? Can i myself change it sitting at home? Thanks a lot.

for better speed remove spotflux,hot spot shield and vpn kind of softwares and check your computer and scan for viruses sometime that also effect the speed.
