Blunders of UBL’s Billing System

I am doing this short post just to share following with my readers

  • UBL sent following bill on my email address, which was not mine at all
  • Is there any probability that my bill (with name, phone number, address and transaction details) is sent to any other email address
  • Can I sue UBL for this?

    U know,if we see banking sectors in Pakistan, they are totally irresponsible. They do not have proper check and balances except on CASH or CASHIER.

    Just Look @ on this kind of mistake, Believe me , if it would have happen somewhere else , i think Bank would got penalty by StateBank.

    I am using Cashline facility for last 1.6 years. Thanks to God i haven’t faced any such problem uptil now. In Pakistan, most of the times customer’s provide fake email addresses also.

    Do E-mail that person whose Bill has reached you and ask him to sue UBL for that mistake. Who knows even we might eb victim of all that.

    • I don’t have his email ID, though i called his number, but it said that the guy left the office few months ago – no mercy

    you can contact Banking Mohtasib for the blunder done by UBL

    Every document from the Bank towards the customer is a confidential and private document. So if it is shared to someone by the bank then the Bank can definitely be sued. Its a violation of privacy.

    well UBL Over Charged me around 3-4K on my two transactions it is around 4 months and no response from UBl on my Complain

    What if the customer had given the incorrect email address?
    Probability of that cannot be ruled out

    • I can confirm you that both the accounts (mine and the one i received details of) are at least 1 year old

    UBL overcharged my credit card for RS 6000. No response to my complaints were given during my 6 months of struggle with UBL office in Karachi and Lahore. Atlast i cancelled the credit card and paid the bill. They are all leechers in ubl.

    Dear Adeel,
    Your message is the only message that makes that assumption reg disgrace. Other’s were suggesting that a complaint be raised with Mohtasib.

    On your point about incorrect email. Even basic online registration to read NEWS or play GAMES requires that you confirm your email by first sending you an email with unique confirmation code. This proves you are in control of address provided. There are free tools in all languages to do this check. I would not want to share personal information with a Bank which does not even performs this basic verification.

    Secondly, there have been complaints of bank not refunding for incorrect transaction. Since you’ve lived in the US, even if your ATM card is misused, Bank will refund your money first, and then investigate if your card was genuinely stolen or if you are lying. Same is true if your CC is misused.

    • By the way, i have mentioned above that both the customers (me and the one whose bill was sent to me) are at least 2 years old UBL customers, so chances of invalid email given to bank by this guy are too little.

    After going through some responses, I feel sorry for those people who make others think that Pakistan is the worst place to live. I have spent 7 years in USA and believe me cyber crimes, frauds and miscommitments from financial institutions is far more than what we experience here but they dont highlight it on any medium but in Pakistan, we need a point to disgrace our country and trust me, we dont miss such opportunities.

    I myself is a satisfied customer of UBL since last 2.5 years and apart from minor issues, I never been a victim of any pseudo blunders by UBL. And why we think that customers are always right? He might have given wrong information to the bank. There could be several other circumstances which can lead to this mis-understanding. One should not start to blame other in isolation and analyze other circumstances as well.

    well ubl is trying hard to come up to the mark .we should better look towards the other side of picture ie ubl is serving millions of customer with good standards,these minor mistakescould be ignored”i think we should rise high from individual thinking”

      NO THESE MISTAKES CAN NOT BE RULED OUT. EVERY CUSTOMER DESERVES SECURE BANKING. WHY R U DEFENDING THEIR MISTAKES

    I have just came to this website and found people are just talking and talking as ever. Nobody is thinking how to remove this errors and make things better. Why we only point on things and never try to change. Anyway, Pakistan Zindabad!!! I have given many suggestions to some sectors they asking their Share :) … anyway. keep it up !!!
