Ufone Employees Donate 1 Day's Salary to Share the Grief of Swat IDPs

Employees of Ufone have pledged one day salary as humanitarian aid to the displaced families of the effected area.

This large displacement of the people has resulted into a large strain on the capacity of the camps, established to accommodate them.

Ufone with a unanimous decision of all the employees has decided to come forward and share the grief of these displaced people. Ufone is not only a competitive telecom leader in the industry but an organization that has always come forward to help and support those in crisis.

“As a national entity Ufone feels it as its responsibility to be in the front at a time when the whole nation needs to help our brethren in need,” said, Mr. Abdul Aziz, President & CEO Ufone.

  • I hope people of SWAT ill now learn that PAKISTAN ARMY is in their favor and not Afghanis, whom they used to allow more easy access to their area rather than Pakistan’s army.
And, I also hope that SWAT’s sardar will now stop calling swat as separate state from Pakistan, after looking at all the aid that people of Pakistan and Army of Pakistan have contributed to them.

  • I would like to highlight one major issue i.e. same 36% tax ratio is applied on every charity donation. When Government is persuing people to donate funds for the relief & rehabilitation work of SWAT People it shouldn’t be better to abolish govt taxes on donations and observe simplicity in working of government. Govt wants to earn more by exploiting the feelings of people in this hour of need. I would even suggest that all charity either for Shaukat Khanum, SOS Children or Sahara Trust, Zindagi Trust should be without any tax.
