We are just told that Warid has starting charging on Balance Inquiries on IVR, that is by dialing 121. IVR balance inquiry, that was previously free on Warid while all other operators used to charge it 10 paisas plus tax.
However, contrary to other operators, Warid is charging 60 12 Paisas (inclusive of taxes) for IVR balance checking – and that too without any prior notice to customers.
It must be kept in mind that on screen balance checking, or USSD balance inquiry (*100#) is still free.
Let’s hope that USSD balance inquiry will remain free – as it is the only free treat left in the telecom sector.
On similar note, this habit of changing service charges without informing customer’s is getting popular – thanks to soft heart of PTA, which is causing damages to customers while companies are making huge bucks.
Update: Previously Warid was charging 60 Paisas, however, now these charges are lowered to 12 Paisas per inquiry.
Warid iz still best and cheapest
Bad news… but didn’t effect much… bcoz Warid has Auto Balance alert System which gives Balance summary after each & every Call or SMS…
No problem what the Warid do but customer is the part of the company and they must notify before taking any step. This act show that company did not care about its customer…………
But we can check our validity only through IVR. So if we want to know the validity we would be compelled to dial IVR. But still Warid is the only company who is not charging on USSD.
As per my info this is wrong statement,

Not All Operators Cahrge 10 paisas plus tax on IVR, Telenor Still has free IVR balance inquiry. Just confirmed it, and you can also check by dialing 555. :)
AhsanoO 555 is Telenor’s card recharge service, and yes it also tells you the balance… and that’s free.
I wasn’t going into explanation that Dial 555 and then 2 and then 1 :), So Simply i said 555 :)

A customer calls to Service centre.
Cust: Janab mujhey yeh poochna ha kay kiya warid pe IVR k thru balance check karnay pe charges lag gaye hain
CSR: sir balance check karnay k liye aap 100 press karkay…
Customer: Janab me charges ka pooch raha hun
CSR: Ji janab me wahi baat bata raha hun. Balance check karnay k mutaqliq aap ka jo sawalha us kay mutabiq Balance check karnay k liye 100 dial karain or pher 1 press karkay apna balance maloom karlay is pe 50 paisa+tax charge hongein
Customer: Par pehlay to yeh free tha? aur tax kitna ha
CSR: Balance check k mutaliq aap ki jo query ha us ka barey me bata dun kay ab is pe 50 paisa+tax service charges charge kiye jarahay hain. Mazeed rehnumai k liye qareebi cutomer service centre tashreef layein
Cust: to me ne kaha call kara ha? kya yeh customer service service centre nahi?

and agree with jibran warid call canter py call karo to lugta hy jysy kisi govt dept mei aagaye ya kisi kharoos uncle sy baat ho rhi hy.
tameez to bilkul bhi nahi hyyyy……zong call center is much better than others…
warid baqi operators ki tarah CHAKH nahi maray ga. ye takay takay aur paisay paisay pe marnay walay operators pata nahi kahan se aa gai pakistan

when message of balance come’s after call at the end of this message u can check that how many messages r u consumed.
please correct your information. I just checked Warid IVR 121 that its just costing me 12 paisa not 60+tax.

1.send a blank sms to 1414.

2.Dial *200*2#
