Telenor Settles (well) with LESCO

If you remember, at the launch of Easy Paisa Bill Payment, Telenor had to see the hard face of LESCO, afterwords we saw a clarification note from Telenor too.

Now the issue has settled down, rather settled down so well that all LESCOs employees will carry Telenor numbers, instead of Warid.

Interestingly this development was advertised in paper from Telenor’s side (below is the ad published in Daily Express). We could view this advert with different eye if it had come from LESCO, for example, we could have assumed that LESCO employees hold public offices, and their cell numbers are given on electricity bills – so it was public announcement and so on.

However, now we can safely assume  that Telenor’s this advert was in response to said tussle plus an edge over Warid – which was previous cellular service provider for LESCO employees.

Telenor welcomes LESCO to its network. Its our First priority to provide the LESCO customers with better services. From now onwards, All LESCO staff will be having cell numbers with code of 0345, instead of 0321. LESCO customers are requested to dial mobile code 0f 0345 instaed of 0321, to contact LESCO staff. No change in numbers except the codes.

Change will be applicable from 1st of January.

  • The ad contains LESCO Logo, so i think it was published with Lesco’s approval, so that makes it from both companies :P

    • @Zohair: Yes, I agree most probably this is the case otherwise they would not have added that logo!
