We came across another scam hitting Pakistani shores – this time with a new way.
Scammers pose as representative of MTN of South Africa (a cellular company), and calls young professionals offering them very catchy jobs with hefty salaries. They pose as if MTN is going to start telecom services in Pakistan, and company is large scale hiring the workforce.
When you confirm via email or call, and provide them with details – they ask for Pay Order of Rs. 900/- (amount may vary from person to person) as Guarantee that you will not skip the test.
This is not un-expected as evil minded people will keep exploring new ideas to trap the innocents. Government should run awareness campaigns, for good, so that everyone is aware of such scams (and upcoming scams)
There is an important thing to note that scammers offer jobs as per location and areas of expertise of young people. For instance, if you have done ACCA and you live in Lahore, then interview email will offer you Accountant’s job based in Lahore. This shows that database of any of job portal is either compromised or website itself is involved in the scam.
Message for Everyone
- Make sure that you had applied for this job – before going for any interview
- No private company asks for fee as a guarantee for test
- Report these instances to FIA (here is a method on how to file a complaint with FIA)
- Never ever send/give money to anyone – unless you have the product in your hands
- Spread this message to your friends and family

Once i got sms about such type of scam , it was about AIRTEL and they offering for the position of MECHANICAL ENGINEER , they knew every detail about myself , my cell number , address , email etc
This is dangerous – there must be data leak involved in it.

Yeh! There was some details missing in my application, so FIA guys require more info to take actions on it. Lets see what happens next!
Thanks Aamir bhai for sharing this info. I think the best solution to such a problem is to at least report the complaint to FIA. Just a few reportings can eliminate the chances of setting up of this type of ‘business’ by culprits.

Jin websites ka cms customized han wo bahut asani se hack ho jate han. aur wo websites jo old cms (joomla, durpal etc..) use kar rahi han wo bhi bahut asani se hack ho rahi han.
I have revived there email and sms also i call them back he give me there Bank account detail of Bank of Punjab and account holder name is Muhammad Nafees Bhutt
and suddenly i know that this is scam because MTN company is in South Africa and i check there web site i found no office opened in Pakistan and the bank account Gulberg Brach in Lahore.

THINGS I CONSIDERED:
1. First I never applied to any such position whatsoever.
2. Singtel at present is not running any operations in pakistan except sharing network with warid.
3. The salary and benefits are too good to be true for a fresh Grad like me.
4.The E-mail says The Hr Department has sent me an email and the mail is coming from a gmail account.
5. HR department of even Pan shop wont give their mobile number for contact.

yes, i have also received such a mail frm SAM consultants. when i called, the person told me to deposit Rs 1150 in Askari bank. he told u vl then receive a form, fill it, nd then we vl call u for test nd interview…. but it all seem rubbish.. be aware frnds!

Softic Outsourcing Solutions is a fraud
So-called Managing director/CEO Zainsih Hussain is a liar, fraud and cheap guy
Almost two months ago, I applied for a job naming “Content Writer” posted by “Softic Outsourcing Solutions”. They selected me and asked to send some sample. I submitted samples and they selected me as a final candidate. They promised to pay twice in a month based on the working and then assigned me some project on daily basis. Initially they only gave me a task to write academic report of 3000 words daily. After 10 days they asked me the detail of previous work and promised me to send a cross cheque at my home but did not fulfill their promise.
I made several calls to him but every time he made different excuses. Some time he is busy in any function or in office. Some times, he was ill or out of city. After my refusal for further work, they sent me a cheque of Rs. 5700 after 25 days of my joining and I submitted this cheque in the bank. After 7 days, bank responded that this cheque was bogus and bounced and my employer did not have sufficient balance in his account. I talked to my employer and he said, he will make payment through on-line method. This was the time of my second payment that was almost Rs. 60000 and my employer said he will first make previous payment and then next one. I had used some payment of my first cheque by taking loan from my friend and he was asking me to return his money.
I again requested my employer to please make my payment and told my all problems but he was making excuses again and again. When the date for second payment came, he left attending my phone call. Now I can do nothing and even do not make a court case for Rs. 5700 cheque. In this period, I write more than 100000 words for him and he did not pay me a single rupee and even I have a debt of Rs. 3500. I still have all his mails and cheque as a proof if any one require.
The purpose of writing these detail is not to propagate but to aware other freelancers and unemployed persons to please do not trust someone blindly. I wasted my two months and rejected other jobs just for this person and told all my family and friends for my job but now I am ashamed to tell them about all this and my friend from whom I took loan insulted me at my home but I have nothing to return him. Please friends, avoid and condemn such scam and aware others.
