Telenor Launches Group Messaging Service

Telenor has introduced this service, which will enable you to reach a group of friends with single outgoing SMS.

Procedure is very simple, create a group, add your friends to it and then send an SMS to the entire group with just one message.

It does not end here; you can even add your Ufone friends to the group. What’s even better is that when someone responds everyone will receive it allowing friends to easily have an SMS conversation together.

Your group can have maximum of 20 members in it.

This service is similar to Ufone Buddies, in fact this Group Messaging solution is provided to both Ufone and Telenor by Confiz. This is why, Telenor Group is allowing Ufone number in it as well.

How to Use?

CREATE – Start a group
Format: create <groupname>
e.g. create soccer

JOIN – Join a group
Format: Join <groupname>
Leave soccer.

INVITE – Invite friend to a group
Format: invite <groupname><number/username>

KICK – Kick someone from a group
Format: kick<groupname><username>
kick soccer fatima87

LIST – List members of a group
Format: List<groupname>
list soccer

MAKE – change group type
Format: make<groupname>private or make<groupname> public
make myfamily private

ALLOW – Allow someone
Format: allow

Please note that a maximum number of people that can be added in a group are 20.
