Warid Starts Charging Balance Inquiries

Warid has ultimately started charging balance inquiries made through *100# at 10 paisas plus tax (12 plus including tax). However, call summery will keep showing the remaining balances free of charge.

Warid was the only operator that wasn’t charging balance inquiries till now.

Recently Warid took back SMS delivery reports – while free balance inquiries and SMS delivery reports were unique identifiers of Warid, which are now taken back for un-told reasons.

P.S. Some users on 0321 code are also reporting that their balance inquires are not being charged, maybe due to flaw in system configuration as customer support has confirmed us that *100# is bing charged at 12 paisas per instruction.

  • well reliability was the term that comes in to mind while thinking of warid. after taking back delivery reports and free balance enquiry there is no need to stay on warid because it is the most expensive network.

  • They don’t even bother to inform about any such tarriff change, I must appreciate that they are behaving like Pakistani style businssmen who do not even know how to behave descently with their customers informing that from now on we will charge you for this and will no provide you that.

  • yeh company tu sirf isiliye chal rahi thi kyun k yeh network free delivery reports or free balance inquiries dey raha tha. ab is k pas koi khasiat hi nahi bachi. “THIS COMPANY MAY FACE GREAT LOSS OF CUSTOMERS “. AUR WAISE BHI PAKISTAN BHAR MEIN IN KA NETWORK BHI ITNA EXPANDED NAHI HAI.

  • How many times I got to tell you people, these are not charities these are businesses. You use the service for some of the lowest prices in the entire world therefore you pay for what you use. It is this sense of entitlement with people who complain that really pisses me off ….

    • Agreed. i dont know why people expect such things from companies. Offcourse they are doing business for some profit which they are not getting due to high inflation and lower call rate packages in this tough compitition.

      People are expecting loyality from cellular companies even they are not loyal with the companies. (Jab dil kia portout). They should thank to Allah that in these circumstances these companies are offering much cheaper rates as compare to other contries.

      WARID KI YEH SAB SE BARI GALTI THI K US NE BALANCE INQUIRIES CHARGE KARNA START KAR DEIN. THIS MAY CAUSE WARID TO LOOSE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS.

      AND IF THEY LOOSE MANY CUSTOMERS SO HOW WILL THEY GET SUCCESS AND HIGHER PROFITS WHEN IT IS FACING A GREAT COMPETITION.

    Ufone is a network for cartoons and funny ppl
    Telenor is for those who have nothing in their lives except a mobile phone
    Mobilink quality product but expensive
    Zong Poor quality

  • I was an Old Customer of Warid Since it was Launched , Just because of no attractive packages, I stopped using it, However recently (about a year ago) I again bought a new sim because warid was the only network providing Delivery Reports and free of cost balance Inquiry. due to taking back delivery reports and free balance inquiry there is no need to stay on warid. therefore i am very much disappointed because of this act and Quitting warid for ever and this time it would be permanent. In any Case, I am Very much Disappointed.

    • Yes you are right that taking back sms delievery service was not good and i believe thats could be the very tough decision for them as well and I am very much sure that warid will restart the service very soon with some charges on monthly basis & as far as free balance is concern so my dear Warid is still giving call end notification free of cost. you will receive a free call end notification each time you will make a call or any transaction and it will show you your current balance free of cost.

    Best Suggestion for Warid is:
    Make SMS Delivery Report only available to those Who Call 321 Help Line & tell the Operator to Turn it ON in my Number.

    Many people don’t care about SMS Delivery Report, But those People Who Do at Least they can Turn it on By their Own Request to the Operator!!!

    tv ads mai yeh log dikha rahy hai k bus mulak ka koi or kaam na kero bus sirf (baatain kero din bhar or raat bhar)bus ak hi network hona chaye woh pe postpaid .phir dekho hamari ghareeb awam k chasky kese khatam hoty hain

  • According to PTA rules, it is essential for every telecom operator to advertise their additional charge through advertisement with a gap of at least 30 days. Warid doesn’t seem to bother about it.

    I am using Warid since its launch in Pakistan. I do understand that mobile companies are suffering from recession, they can charge customers as they are here to do business but such unannounced acts takes away the customer trust.

    Let me give you another example of such an act by warid. If you convert your package from Glow1 to Glow2 (or vice versa), your friends and family numbers will not remain valid, you have to delete all numbers and re-add them costing Rs 10+tax per addition/deletion. And no CSR will tell you this. You will know when you call your friends/family next time and lose all your credit.

    Dear Warid, do charge customers but please please announce them. And stop the misleading advertisement.
