Google’s Nexus S is going to get launched in Pakistan on March 25th, this was revealed by Haris Nadeem on AndroidPakistan.com.

Moreover, it is said that Mobilink is going to partner with Samsung for the launch of Nexus S, just like they previously did for Samsung Galaxy Tab.

According to androidpakistan, Samsung’s Nexus S will be priced around Rs. 49,999, in the start.

In past, we covered some details on hardware and specification of Nexus S here. More details on Nexus S will be communicated to you as soon as we get them.

  • They missed their target of under 45,000, but at least it’s cheaper than the current market price (over 60,000). Good news.

  • It’s actually good that we’re this, something is better than nothing…. I say this because as the world is about to get the Galaxy S II, we get this next gen software with last gen hardware. But still consider me satisfied.

    • The main factor for buying it (instead of any other Android phone): Google will provide Android upgrades for it for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

Compare that with other companies. Motorola Milestone launched in Pakistan in September with Android 2.1. It is starting to get 2.2 upgrades now and probably will NEVER get 2.3. Many Sony Xperia phones are stuck at Android 1.6. No one knows if the Huawei phones launched by Zong and Ufone will be upgraded to 2.3 (or 3.0).

  • In my view, this device can’t compete with the latest iPhone 4, which is month’s old then this, neither it’s the best of best android, so i don’t think it has a wider scope.

PS: “If i had to opt, i would opt Samsung Galaxy S over this”

    • They are similar, but the Galaxy S has microsd slot and this doesn’t.

However. Don’t forget updates. Will the Galaxy S work with Android 3.0 or 3.1 or …? No one knows. The Nexus S will.
