Remote Participation Hub Established for Internet Governance Forum

Just in case if you don’t know Internet Governance Forum is a multi-stakeholder forum formed by United Nations in 2006 to stimulate policy dialogue on issues of Internet Governance.

IGF hold its annual meeting by inviting participants from across the globe: reflecting governments, International organizations, telecommunication companies, Internet content providers, software developers, the private sector, civil society and the media.

This year sixth annual IGF Meeting will be held at Nairobi, Kenya, on 27-30 September 2011.

Keeping in view the dire need of Internet Governance issues understanding and capacity building among youth and Internet professionals, NUST SEECS is establishing remote participation hub for this year’s annual IGF Meeting at NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Sector H-12, Islamabad.

In this regard, an open invitation is given to all likely participants interested in attending the IGF 2011 and accumulating necessary experience and knowledge about the International Internet governance issue.
