Head of ICT, PTA to join Cellular Mobile Operator

He is expected to join a cellular mobile operator to head it’s regulatory division by end of this month.

Our source confined us not to mention Mr. Amir’s next employer for reasons best known to him.

As the Head of ICT Directorate, Amir Malik was looking after Policy and Research based studies of emerging and current ICT’s, required liaison with Ministry of IT, Government bodies and operators, studying the International regulations and development of various IT applications and solutions for the benefit of telecommunication subscribers of Pakistan.

Amir Malik has been a key contributor to the development of ICT sector of the country. He is well known for his thorough approach while heading several projects covering issues like Broadband, IP version 6, .pk ccTLD, ICT Security, PKI Infrastructure, Public Data Warehouses, Internet Peering Points, ICT for Disables, National Rabta Portal, 668 SIM Data verification and 8899 Mobile Subscriber Perception Survey.

Amir is being recognized for following a different regulatory approach while inviting broad industry consultation during his projects. His contributions have been widely recognized and awarded.
