The Habib Bank Ltd (HBL) has installed an ATM machine on the campus of Government College University Lahore, to facilitate its students, staff and teachers.
GCU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammed Khaleeq-ur Rahman and HBL President Nauman K. Dar inaugurated the ATM machine, while HBL Head Payment Services Faiq Hussain, GCU Director Research Professor Dr Muhammad Zakria Butt and Old Ravians Union Secretary Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt were also present.
According to press statement issued by HBL, President Nauman K. Dar said that GCU was one of best and oldest educational institutes of Pakistan which had produced hundreds of eminent scientists, economists and writers and providing services to such a great seat of learning was a matter of great pride for HBL.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Rahman expressed profound gratitude to the HBL President for visiting GCU and offering state-of-the-art banking services for its faculty and students.”
HBL has plans to launch massive network of ATMs across various educational institutes as well, offering most advanced banking services to students with-in their campuses.
Bank is planning to devise a way to establish a mechanism for automatic submission of fee and other academic charges through these ATMs without any human involvement.

From the looks of the old people in the picture, you would think they solved a major problem for humankind or something.
Instead, all they did was they opened a bank ATM (employing zero staff!!!) and gathered and had a press event wearing suits and ties and wow, this is so messed up.
we have ATM since last 5 years in IoBM Karachi :P
