Pakistanis Alleged for Running Fraudulent Development Company

Salman Ghaznavi, CEO of Salsoft

Android Police has alleged Salsoft, an App development firm run by Pakistanis, for running a scammy App development company involved in various fraudulent activities including IP theft, not delivering the services after advance payments, ripping off others work and falsely claiming the work that they didn’t do at all.

According to investigation carried out by Android Police, Salsoft is run by Salman Ghaznavi and Usman Ghaznavi, with dozens of websites that offer app, web development, web design and logo design services.

Salsoft trapped customers – from around the world – by falsely claiming dozens of high-profile apps (Duolingo, Saviry, the official Bloomberg TV+ iPad app, iScope, the official British Airways iOS app, and the official Dolce and Gabbana iOS app) as developed by them, while they were not.

Salsoft – on its about us page – displayed actors’ and models’ pictures as its team to look like a huge development firm, which according to “Android Police” they were not.

Report claims that there were hundreds of thousands of dollars (or even more) that Salsoft whipped from various clients while not delivering them the services at all, or in some cased delivered ripped off work.

Check below few of their companies and complaints against them:

When contacted Salsoft said that its lawyers are in process of taking up the matter legally. A company representative told ProPakistani that Android Police’s claims bear no proof. He admitted that there might be some business liabilities but calling us a fraudulent company is not bearable.

Just to conclude here, Pakistan’s freelance and outsourcing industry ranks at number 4 in terms of growth of freelancers (as per the Global Online Employment Report for 2013 by Elance). Such stories — if true — will only earn bad press to hamper Pakistan’s tech industry.
