Pakistan’s tech industry thrives thanks to the passionate effort put forward by its youth. Innovative startups, exciting business ideas are beginning to mushroom and prosper in this largely youth dominated industry. To further motivate and encourage hidden talents in the field of technology and entrepreneurship a number of programs have been organized. Of these, the annual Digital Youth Summit is one of the most prestigious tech conference and startup expo that aims to highlight and unite the next generation of digital innovators in Pakistan. The focus is on bringing to front technology entrepreneurship and encouraging ideas that attempt to resolve social problems – commonly referred to as, ‘tech for social’.
About Digital Youth Summit
DYS was launched in May 2014, as a joint initiative by the Government of KP and local as well as international partners. To date, the conference has witnessed more than 4000 participants each year as it is not just a startup expo, but also an employment opportunity for thousands of interested participants.
Digital Summit 2016
This year too, the Summit will be held from May 24th to 26th and will be co-organized by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, Peshawar 2.0 and the World Bank.
For freelancers, there is no need to register (yaay!!!) and you can get the tickets on-spot. For other stakeholders such as Founders and Professionals who want to register for the event, you will have to fill a registration form. Currently, according to the website, online registrations are closed. We hope this is a minor glitch as the entry passes are still being distributed.
To stay updated on the registration and the entry passes, visit their facebook page for details.
