The recent partnership between Uber and PITB has set a welcome precedent for startups and other companies to use PITB’s technology solutions and expertise to boost their businesses and promote entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
The signed memorandum of understanding stated that the two would be working together for the promotion of effective use of technology. In a conversation with an Uber spokesperson, we’ve confirmed that the partnership will help the company significantly reduce the time it takes for background verification among other options that are being explored. The overarching similarity, which has allowed PITB and Uber to enter a long term agreement, is the vision they share for a more empowered and self sustained future.
It bears mentioning that PITB really has been at the forefront when it comes to boosting entrepreneurship in Punjab and Pakistan. They’ve built some great software solutions in the past few years to digitize government departments and projects that benefit the public like a restaurant invoice monitoring system, efforts to make BISP more transparent and overhauling how healthcare is approached in Punjab.
