Huawei Reveals a Duo of Stylish Midrangers – Nova and Nova Plus

Apart from Sony, the only other brand which wast active at the IFA 2016 was Huawei. It has been making a lot of progress. Not only has it brought up its standard in terms of quality, it has also established itself as a respectable brand. This time around, it introduced some beautiful-looking mid-range smartphones.

Huawei Nova

A 5-incher, the Huawei Nova borrows its design cues from last year’s Nexus 6P— also made by Huawei. However, unlike the Nexus, Nova supports knuckle touch gestures on its screen. Internally, it is powered by a Snapdragon’s 625 octa-core chipset and 3 GB of RAM while the storage stands at 32GB plus microSD card support.

It has a 12-megapixel rear camera, matching the one you’ll find on the Nexus 6P and other latest flagships, and an 8-megapixel one on the front. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor & a hefty 3,020 mAh battery

Huawei Nova Plus

Huawei Nova Plus

The Huawei Nova Plus is a bigger and slightly better version of the Nova but it comes with a completely different design. In terms of looks, it resembles the Mate S of recent past, though the specs are a mixed bag when compared with the former Mate flagship.

Nova Plus doesn’t come with an AMOLED display like the Mate S, but the 5.5-inch IPS display isn’t that far behind in terms of quality. On the other hand, you get a far bigger battery, 3,340 mAh, compared to the 2,700 mAh in the Mate S.

In the camera department, it boasts a 16MP rear camera with OIS and an 8MP front camera. You also get the usual phase detection autofocus resulting in a more than decent camera experience. The processing package remains the same, i.e. Snapdragon 625 and 3GB RAM. You also get the same storage space and microSD card support.
