The legendary Pakistani test batsman Muhammad Yousuf has had his say on two of the best performing batsmen in the Pakistani team. The retired cricket has figured out what’s wrong with the batting of two star batsmen and even offered a solution to their problems.
According to Yousuf, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam are talented batsmen they just need to work on their technique.
Muhammad Yousuf on Fakhar Zaman
The star opener did have a good series in New Zealand. However, the former run-machine says, Fakhar can be as good and dangerous as Sharjeel Khan if he works on improving his technique.
Social Media Thrilled Following Pakistan Cricket Team’s No. 1 Ranking in T20Is
Fakhar played really well during the tour, he is courageous and does not fear the ball and that’s why he scores runs. If his technique is also improved then he will become a dangerous player just like Sharjeel.
The recent T20 series against New Zealand saw Pakistan climb to the number one spot in T20 rankings. Yousuf also presented his point of view on team’s performance in the T20 series, saying;
Pakistan played really well in the last two T20Is and especially the batting, which was giving us a lot of trouble, performed really well.
Yousuf on Babar Azam
Babar Azam also clinched the top spot as a result of his consistent performance throughout the 3-match series. However, the veteran Pakistani batsman Yousuf thinks there is something wrong with Babar’s technique as well.
Babar will also need to work a lot on his technique. He can play well on slow wickets but he will be in trouble where the ball moves.
Yousuf further suggested that players have technique problems and they should try and fix the issues with their batting. He suggested them to spend more time in the nets or go to the National Cricket Academy.
Muhammad Yousuf on Muhammad Amir
Yousuf was all-praise for the Pakistani pacer Muhammad Amir. Amir was named man of the series for his economical bowling vs New Zealand in T20s. Yousuf said;
Amir continues to give away less runs and he is still our special bowler.
